Harley Davidson Road King ST We Should've Gotten in 2025 - Missed Opportunity

I also forgot to mention, this would've been so easy for Harley Davidson to do. They have all the components available, there is zero R&D for a modern Road King. Harley can easily update the body lines and they can update to a liquid cooled 117. This RKST wouldn't set Harley back in profits, unless they're planning to justify a $28k Road King. I think they will, they’ll probably price it around 28k. Only way to justify paying 28k when the RKS is $26k

They know a lot of people don't care about the fairing and infotainment system, and if the Road King was priced appropriately, it would massively cannibalize sales of the two Glides. So they are deliberately steering people away from the King to the Glides. It sucks but it's product strategy. I would also but the King if it was $4k lower.

This makes sense, that’s completely right!! Why not just spend a bit more and get everything I mentioned in the video. It’s a good strategy to push folks to spend more. It should improve private party sales, people should just buy a used road king instead.

USA has an inflation of 2%. We in holland FOUR %!! And a RKS 2024 in VV Black out the door does cost $37.000,00!!! ( incl RDRS). The new models are without price for 2025

Glad they didn't do that, I don't like the new body design on the Street Glide and Road Glide and I find it worse on the RKS... Hope they will bring back the Road King Classic in the previous design... I'm tired of chasing pipe dreams, I prefer versions before 2024 or older... Greetings from France...

I like the mt Rushmore design too, but it's been around since 2017. I think it's time for a refresh on the road king. Wouldn't you want to see a liquid cooled 117, or RDRS standard on the RKS?? Just saying, if Harley wants $26k for the RKS, they gotta deliver

The 114 is more than enough for me, I don't need more torque and more power and in France since 2023 RDRS, Hill assist and rain mode are standard. But you are right about the price, Harley abuse... Zeitz really pushing away the younger demographic. No young person wants a bike that only some dork doctor and lawyer can afford. It really loses its cool blue collar edge and it damages the brand i think.

To put it simple Harley-Davidson is just greedy. I don't want any kind of modes or screens whatsoever but Harley-Davidson is so greedy they'll never make a bike like that and pass the savings on to the customer. They showed us how scammy they are when they started charging for black paint. Anything to screw the customer.

@@jamessouthworth1699 sometimes. I don't think this time. Look around. How many road kings do you see people riding? I don't see many. This reminds me of the manual transmission in the auto industry. All kinds of people say they want a manual transmission. They scream it from the rooftops, then manufacturers make a manual model and nobody buys it. Sure there are a few actual people who actually buy new motorcycles, that actually want to buy one with less tech. But like people who actually buy new manual vehicles. There aren't enough to be profitable unfortunately.
