Hi from Norway! I like your videos man! I have a Panigale 1299s 2015 model and while driving, I hear a rattle sound like kkkkrrrrrr coming from the front of the engine. This happens only when driving and when the engine is warm and around 4000rpm. I didn’t notice any leaks, no warning on the dashboard, the cooling fans operate as they should. Any suggestions ?
@FancyAnimal2 күн бұрын
Hei fra amerika. I need more information. Does the rattle change with engine RPM? How many miles on the bike? It could be that the valves need to be adjusted and have excessive clearance between the cam and followers. Put your ear to the radiators while kneeling in front of the bike and rev the engine slowly to see if you can hear the rattling change with engine speed. If it doesn't change with speed, shut the bike off while coasting down a bumpy hill and listen. Could be the front brake pads or forks rattling. My 1199 rattles in the forks. Always has.

@@FancyAnimal the rattle dissapears after 4000rpm, it has less than 17000km thats is about 10500mi

Always wanted this bike. Couldn’t afford one I like so I went with my next choice. Anniversary xb12R. Came from a highly upgraded sv560 to a few modded Harley’s and the buell really does it for me. It check all the boxes but I do want a rc51 and an inline 4 but that one is to be determined.
@FancyAnimal4 күн бұрын
Have you considered a Honda Super Chicken, AKA SuperHawk? Similar power and capacity motor to the RC51. Great street bike.

Good video, I used Oberon on my ktm 1290, I back used a syringe to back bleed it, it’s nice to see proper mileage on one of these bikes, it’s a good reference for prospective used buyers, are you going to take this bike all the way to 💀?

Picked up a 14’ 1199 Pani 2 years ago with 2k miles. Mint condition, $12k. Not the best nor worst deal but it was the dream bike. (9th bike in my life)

Hi guys anyone… So I have panigale V4S 2020 and after maybe around 6000km I started to have hot start problems, cold start is perfect but on summer days after riding my bike and stop to refuel and after 5/10 min I want to go he stard bad like almost dying then I have to give a little bit gas or he managed to come back live again after few seconds…..is it possible that is it that evap canister making problems….?? Only bad hot start anything else bike works perfectly… Any thoughts thx….!??
@FancyAnimal17 күн бұрын
That is how my bike presented the problem... difficult starts on hot days. Try bypassing the EVap canister. You can always reinstall. Juat note that my video is for the 1199. V4 may have a different plumbing circuit. Just follow the tubing.
@Dynamics9922 күн бұрын
Hey Fancy, can you do a current mileage review and maintaince items and cost? I'm nearing 24k on my 1199R. Clutch slave is failing so I'm wondering what else I might refresh. I know there is a maintaince schedule but rather do a big update at once.
@khizershareef507624 күн бұрын
did you leave the heat shrink tubing on with the screws?

Those were very expensive to manufacture and Honda lost money on them in order to race it, pinnacle of Honda quality then , just look at that race bike really.....

so proud you still rocking the twin. have you tuned the bike already? come from your fan video, this bikes are super lean down low for emissions compliance, that's one of the reasons they run so hot, making them richer makes them run better and cooler, also delete all emissions devices of course. hope that one day you upgrade to a 1299 S ... enough v4 content on youtube ffs

I have the same bike, it gets hot, like 230F in traffic in summer, and then my side stand sensor keeps going off? The bike stalls bc of this, obviously. I have to wait for it to cool down for it to go away. I just bought a kickstand eliminator plug hopefully this helps it
@FancyAnimalАй бұрын
I made a cheap fix for the overheating issue.... create a fan override switch...$10. Throw the switch on at 175F degrees and your bike will stay under 200F in traffic. 230F - 240F will eventually ruin the motor from thermal cycling. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKCvomaQmdOpidEsi=AF8vCjg-xcWhQo-x

You’re the real deal man, ran across your vids after sifting through countless “DIY” videos. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge, with out and bs product promotions, pointless filler, or trash talking other manufacturers/riders. It’s refreshing to watch a diy video with out hearing how much “gixxers suck or how what ever particular part you used is the best etc” 👍 TY

Truthfully I kind of lost interest in KZbin for exactly the issues you brought-up. The KZbin monetization scheme and creator rules have turned content creators into obedient product placement lemmings. Everyone in every genre is reviewing products, selling products, or doing sponsorship boot licking. Consumerism is killing KZbin. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!

@@FancyAnimalcouldn’t have said it better myself. I think it’s rather sad honestly, it’s almost as if the only motivation these individuals have is money. I personally think that we as riders should help one another whenever the opportunity presents itself, if we want continue to foster the sense of community and brotherhood that draws so many people into ownership in the first place. My garage is always open to anyone that needs help and I don’t ever change any one in hopes that they will “pay it forward”. My 1199 is about due for valve adjustment and the valve cover gaskets are leaking like a siv. So I’m keeping an eye out for your next vid.

I’ve been having issues with my bike. It’s been going into limp mode after an hour to 2 hours of riding. Also, my bike would back fire when it’s at idle and when I down shift. It doesn’t to it all the time but it’s a concern. I changed the spark plugs and map sensors with no success. I’m about to change the ignition coils to see if that’ll work but I’m not sure if that’ll work. What do you think?

My streetfighter 848 2014 overheated because a stone damaged the lower radiator then it broke down on the road. Now it won't start up again even after leaving it overnight. The fan didn't start up at the time. When it cut out there was coolant leaking out so I don't know what has happened and why it won't run do you have any advice 🤔 😢

I love that you have put 40k on a panigale! I’m on the same path with my 1299, keep that thing running like a top!
@griffinlouis35452 ай бұрын
The 1199 was/is definitely a bit more reliable than the 1299 and the fuel mileage is almost comparable but if you get a full pipe and an up map that fuel mileage is gonna sit right around 24-5mpg in town/traffic and if you’re really calm with the throttle you can get around 30-34mpg. Definitely hard to resist ripping the throttle everywhere you go though hahah
@griffinlouis35452 ай бұрын
Also you can triple double or triple the servicing costs. I work at a triumph dealership and we try our best to help customers out on their bills but it is still a shock to a lot of folks! Most dealers aren’t trying to rip you off they’re just has to be enough money to give everyone a piece of the pie, even if the folks at the dealership are getting a much smaller piece of the pie. But c’est la vie, 🤷🏻.

Most people take their ducs to dealers for service. So it shouldn't be a problem unless you're maintaining the bike yourself without actually following the workshop instructions. Good video
