Halsey is a very underrated singer (imo) she started as a sound cloud singer if I remember correctly and has had so many hits and anthems. You HAVE to check out her Lilth remix with SUGA for the Diablo game, but she has so many great songs. Her last album was one of my favorites so far. The tradition, Castle, Bad at Love, I'm not a woman, I'm a God, and Nightmare are some of my favorite songs of hers.

I became OB-sessed with this song omg, I couldn't listen to anything else for months if not a year. SO catchy, this brought me in to BTS, then I Need You made me an army. I couldn't get over the subject matter they would choose to include in their MVs considering the age of the majority of their audience. And then I realized nothing could make more sense. There are a lot of references to the movie 'SINGING IN THE RAIN" in this video. The poster for it is in the background of the movie theater entrance. The keyboard that Yoongi dances on is a reference to a dance sequence from the movie. j-hope swings around a light pole like Gene Kelly did. In RM's part the scenery with tall the billboards listing their album names is like a scene from the song "Gotta Dance" from the movie. Their MV director gets inspiration from so many palaces.

I love your "yes" shirt. Reminds me of when I was a teenager (many many years ago) and my brother painted it on his wall in bright green paint with about 3 feet high letters. Boy did that take a lot of paint to cover up when he moved out.

You asked about the girl, that is Halsey ( American artist). Suga and Halsey have done some work together as well ( Halsey, SUGA - Lilith (Diablo IV Anthem) a video game. The mv introduced gamers to Suga/Agust D including reactors. Halsey is a big supporter of BTS. She is the one ( from my understanding) that bought /started the members those the glittered (Swarovski crystals)mics, the original set, they are famous for using. When Suga was doing his documentary for the D Day album he came to LA and visited several people in their home and one of them was Halsey and then Steve Aoki. Both are huge fans of BTS. Also, there is a live performance with Halsey. I agree totally, Suga/Agust D Trilogy is a must. Then J Hope More in Arson mv then there are lives. So much more to mention. 71 yo here. This song is a sequel to Boy in Luv, which was a teenage angsty idea of love. Boy with Luv is softer (pastels) and warmer. Halsey, the girl in the video, is a big pop star in the U.S. She represents ARMY here She's become a good friend of BTS. You should see them together in the Behind the Scenes of this MV. BTS was under a lot of pressure after their speech at the UN (2018) and the members were having a hard time with all the expectations. RM and JHope's vetrses reflect that. They decided to retrench and just focus on their source of energy and inspiration (ARMY). I just wanted to point out that this video is -almost scene by scene - a callback to the musical, "Dancing in the Rain."

Halsey is a very close friend to Bts, especially Suga. She is very supportive and defends them when necessary. sadly she just announced that she is very sick, diagnosed with lupus and a form of leukemia. Huge schock for all of us.
