They're right. Some of the biggest trek fans came through that movie. Orangeriver, the trek youtuber, became a fan as a kid through the Kelvin movie. Unbelievable. But true

Ask any of these people if they know about the Obama coup of Yanukovich in 2014 that triggered Eastern Ukraine to want to separate, im sure none of them have a clue about it... they didnt even know Kiev has killed more than 12,000 Russian speakers since 2014-2022 .... they only know about the war after Russia joined the war to save Russian natives..lol! These are the same people who supported Bush to invade Iraq because they are completely ignorant.. they do what their government tells them or what CNN tells them

I find it interesting that so many of the people that are commenting on this video believe that Mike and Denise Okuda aren’t being honest and forthcoming with their opinions. Have the Okudas said or done things in the past that would lead people to believe that they are corporate shills? I watched this video and simply assumed they were sharing their honest thoughts and opinions.

BSG was my favorite show and Grace played the most compelling character for me. Sharon Agathon, Athena. Her story was what kept me watching for four years. She's right about the awards. They've always been prejudiced against science fiction, same as the Oscars. The #1 #2 and #3 shows were ALL SF shows and they ignored THAT!! Smallville and Heroes were the other 2 shows. Screw the stupid Emmys and stupid sitcoms!

Fascinating and we'll reasoned insight into the decision making process of Hollywood elites. In 2021 with Start Trek Discovery and it's appalling ratings it still keeps getting made and shoved out. Why? Same ramming out of the trash fire known as Dr. Who. It seems that ratings perhaps don't matter very much to decision makers when there is an overarching political agenda in play. Get woke go broke? In the mean time sci fi fans suffer in 2021 with what appears to be a relentless push in the industry to 'educate' society rather than simply entertain. Sci fi past 2016 is dead to me. Wokeness? No thanks, I'll stick with box sets and reruns from 70's, 80'a and 90's when the world was a little more sane.

"If you're not encouraging, you're bullying." I encourage my children, but that's nonsense. I was bullied as a kid, and I know what bullying is. I bet you one thing, though. I bet she'd support the BLM and ANTIFA protesting. There were tons of victims in those riots.

It was intended to lst longer. Around season 2 the studio tried to make the series episodic, after which it returned to a continuous storyline when that didn't work. There was a danger of season 3 being the last, which is why the last episode of that season ends on a destroyed Earth. And then it was extended one final season so the last season had to wrap up storylines fairly abruptly.

Imo Caprica was good overall, the idea, but had too many annoying cheesy stuff particularly some of the cast, and storytelling. Also, the timeline is a little fracked only 58 years prior way too little time, maybe they should have added another generation the grandpa of Greystone started the whole Cylon stuff the first couple episodes that way you could give it at least a 100 years, and then move forward a few decades to where Caprica started and made some of the details of storylines a little more original, and maybe change the cast a bit or something else. Caprica never felt like Earth that part was pretty well established but then some of the storylines were too Earth-ish, and also adding more storytelling in relation to all the 12 colonies, and connecting, the history of the 12 colonies and so forth.
