Man oh man, they are so polite and tactful. They're great. 😊

Legend has is Michael Okuda died from a broken heart after watching Discovery…

But Michael Okuda is not dead. He worked on Season 2 and 3 of Picard.

They're right. Some of the biggest trek fans came through that movie. Orangeriver, the trek youtuber, became a fan as a kid through the Kelvin movie. Unbelievable. But true

If I die of a brain hemorrhage it will probably be because ok Kurtzman-Abrams trek.

Just to be clear, nothing was "erased". As the 2009 film hinted and as the writers have gone on record saying many times (and as the Okudas obviously understand from this interview), the two timelines carry on side by side.

I find it interesting that so many of the people that are commenting on this video believe that Mike and Denise Okuda aren’t being honest and forthcoming with their opinions. Have the Okudas said or done things in the past that would lead people to believe that they are corporate shills? I watched this video and simply assumed they were sharing their honest thoughts and opinions.

So much of what they say comes as no surprise to me.

I am not sure what this whole PC thing is about. Did you think that maybe they DID like it? People did like the movies, and some of them aren't afraid to express it. It's not like they're saying they deserved Oscars or anything ... just that they liked it. Believe it or not, people can have different opinions after watching something. Some people think "2001: A Space Odyssey" is amazing .. I think it's the longest 20-minute movie ever.

Ummm ... the 2009 film erased everything from "Where No Man's Gone Before" and on, so I am not quite following you ..

Well, now it's 2020 and we, the fans, have to wonder if the Abraham's ST will be continuing. Hope so, that crew had chemistry!

It sounded like a lot of PR fluff. It sounds like they aren't completely thrilled with jar jar's work. I liked 2009 in spite of the lens flares, but the new one is an attempt to erase star trek 2 and space seed. Why would you do that?
