While DW7 has the most emotion, I honestly prefer the more restrained, if you can call it that, tone of DW5. It just hits those notes of not only is he full of grief, but also how that grief near instantly shifts to a blind, vengeful rage that not even Zhao Yun or Zhuge Liang can temper. Masterful.

Why did they change Zhuge Liang's reaction in DW 8? That was totally non-historical. It feels they made a lot of free interpretations in DW 8 compared to the others. Probably part of the direction they deliberately took with that generation though (with a lot of IF routes etc.).
