Do you think it would be a good idea to paint over your glasses? The black outline could probably do good with a little bit of dark green paint. I wonder if there was also a way you could prevent potential glaring caused by the glass in the glasses, good video though.
@NorthwestScout2 күн бұрын
@@Saint_55 I had this discussion with an ex-Brit soldier, and glasses are a non-issue. When contact is made, no one is looking for glare ever. It’s really a Call of Duty thing twisting reality. Little bit of camo paint on your eyes or face and you’re good to go in my books.

So, is that weapon a Kel Tec .308? Or some other 7.62x 51ish piece? I ask because if it is a 5.56 and that's Grizzly territory, you certainly ARE taking many, many chances. Any hunters out there with mucho bear knowledge? How effective is the .223 or 5.56 against Mama Bear's skull? Opine, please.

@@xxx-wg3gr I killed a massive bear with this gun a few years back when I had a black bear in my yard. Now, he did run but I found him 200 yards away bleeding out. Now, I always take my dogs with me that they are mature. The gun is a Norinco T97 5.56
@xxx-wg3gr6 күн бұрын
@@NorthwestScout Scout, thank you for the follow-up. I'm very, very curious about that Chinese gun. I wish I knew a lot more about bears; the only animal I've hunted was the homo sapiens. How many hits of 5.56 did it take to encourage that bear to leave your yard? Were you using 55 grain FMJ, or soft point, or some 62 grain, harder bullet? So he ran a short distance before lying down? More details, please! BTW, who sells the Chinese bullpup? Speculation about your gun drifted from my Kel Tec .308 question off the Israeli Tavor, etc. Interesting event all around. Glad you got to walk away from that bear.
@NorthwestScout6 күн бұрын
@@xxx-wg3gr I popped him with two quick taps of the 55 grain fmj and he bolted up the rocks, bedrock outcrops in my yard and disappeared. My heart was pounding hard because now I was looking for a wounded bear. I walked to the backside of the property and stood on another rock outcrop and just listened. Then a heard a twig snap. I looked down into the poplars and saw him kind of on his back slowly moving his paws. So I walked slowly within about 10 yards of him and hammered him with 3 more rounds. When he was dead I noticed his blood trail. It was pouring out of him. He had ran full bore through fallen trees pouring blood out like crazy.

Now if we could get you some N-IR and thermal to try out, we could see what this stuff looks like under NODs and Thermal. Not that some of it isn't documented or designed that way, but if you look at RipperKon's vids he goes pretty deep into dissapearing in the three visual spectrums, and how to get there on a budget! 🎉 Kudos!
