The firmware version should have been disclosed when reviewing a product. This monitor had firmware updates that increased the brightness.

So basically we have to wait few more years for technology to mature. I'll stick to my IPS for now.

When do you think 43" or 48" 4k 240hz oled monitors would be released?

Very interested in the MAG 271QPX E2! Going to wait for final pricing (and your review!) but that sounds like a better fit for what I’m looking for

It'd be interesting to see you try and warranty it with MSI after this test, and see if they cover it. And thank you for the heads up about the MAG 321UPX inability to update firmware. JB Hi-fi currently has this model for $550 AUD off which is tempting but I'll give it a miss.

@MonitorsUnboxed I changed my windows settings to my displays rated 240 hz. It was 60 hz. I am using displayport cable. My new monitor is the new ASUS OLED 240 hz glossy. My Elden Ring game then crashed loading up my save file. I tried verifying files and restarting my computer and the game still crashed. I then set the refresh rate setting back to 60 hz in windows and the game loaded up fine. So am I missing a setting? Do I need to change a setting in the game or on Steam?

This market sucks, that’s the true. That said, this is the best for HDR. Better than any oled monitor. You pay 1k for an oled screen that doesn’t get bright enough for HDR.

To help anyone who has the monitor: DO THE REFRESH! I did the refresh 99.9% of the time and before I didnt, I saw zero burn in. Now, one weekend Path Of Exile got the better of me and I didnt do the refresh for maybe 18 or 20 hours and it burned in one part of the ui (maybe the size of two U.S Quarters). Think I ran the refresh once or twice in 40 hours over that weekend. Since, ive always ran the refresh and its gotten slightly better but its still there on gray or blue backgrounds. Im hoping the big "every 2000hr" refresh will aid in fixing this. Tbf, in reality its a non issue after I log in- but I can see it on my blue windows log on screen and it breaks my heart everytime. I literally cant notice on anything that isnt a full bright blue or gray background. Its just rough because I know there would be actually zero burn in if I just ran it around every 6-8 hours which is no big deal at all- just didnt respect the refresh back before my issue.

So probably a dumb question but I don’t know, looking at the AW2725DF. I have a 4090 GPU but I saw this monitor supports AMD only….will this be an issue for my GPU, meaning will there be a sacrifices? I have always had monitors that have both technologies, AMD and Nvidia, so I was not sure. Thank you for your time, hope to get a clear answer.

same channel, same cherry-picked opinionated Pay4Review info. Asus must not have been willing to pay an Aussie channel for a good review so they suggest buying a TV over a real pc monitor instead. For shame.

So glad you guys are still doing Monitors unboxed. In the market at the moment for a new monitor at the moment but I'm stuck. I want to get a 4K monitor, no real budget in mind but one of my priorities is how the monitor is for eyestrain. I've been stuck with ASUS for a while because their blue light filter option in the menu seems the best but I can never find anything regarding other brands blue light filter options. Also I hate glossy monitors which seems to be the trend for the high end models now. I'm also in Australia with you lads and I do feel we don't quite get the same lineup that the states do. Was wondering whether you had any insight on the eye strain portion? Thanks Tim.

Do you think it will be good upgrade from gigabyte G32QC ? I loved this gigabyte for its image quality , especially very high contrast but backlight died ... it was a bit big on some ocasions but in gaming and media consumption that curved 32 inches was awensome , in gaming really close to ultrawide . Only drawback was it's response times , some games was basicaly unplayable on it - for example sonic forces i could not play it , it was giving me motion sickness . I just wish oled 32 inches were not 2000usd ...

dont think i will be satisfied with 240hz. I currently have 4k 144hz, g9 at 240hz and 1080p 360hz. I keep switching between them all - i need either g9 at 360hz or 4k at 360hz to be fully satisfied for now.

Thanks for the fantastic update! I fell in love with OLED panels after I bought an LG C1 TV a couple of years ago. Ever since then I wanted to buy an OLED monitor as well, but I work from home, so combining work and free time media consumption/gaming, 16 hours of continuous use isn't unusual for me. Spending that kind of money on a monitor, only to have noticeable burn in after a year or so is obviously not great. Guess I'll have to hold off for now and continue using my trusty IPS LG monitor.

I think 240Hz OLEDs should be cost no more than 550-600$ to be compare to (Fast) VA, LCD and TN. We need mid range budget OLEDs.
