I love how straight forward this is. And most especially the tip about the sizing.. Half the height! Mind blown!

Your pattern looks wonderful. It's sad it doesn't accommodate for size. Height is not enough for the pattern. Thank you for sharing.

This is exactly what I needed!! I already have something in mind, so all I need are the basic shapes to give me an idea of where to start!😊

Mine turned out to look more like a bolero than a cardigan, but myst say I liked that better. Don’t know why though, but guessing it was bc I crocheted with double yarns.

Easy ans simple and fast explanations :) thank you

This goes way too fast and not being told what every stitch is. This for a beginner like myself unable to do this. I put it on as slow as KZbin lets me and watched and rewatched over and over and still messed up as it looks nothing like a triangle in the beginning.

I appreciate that you started the video by showing how the shawl will be worked. I wish all presenters would include this info. I like to know where I'm going. I love the color combo of your yarn selection.

Debbie -- I'm in the process of retiring my blog and moving all my patterns to Ravelry. You can buy this pattern for just $3 at: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/quick--easy-shrug-with-ribbed-cuffs

For your pattern, are you skipping a stitch on the chain where the ch 1 would go?
@SpoonsHooks2 жыл бұрын
No, because the ch-1 does not count as a stitch.
@ImKodiBrooks2 жыл бұрын
@@SpoonsHooks ohh ok love. So you’re putting a hdc into each stitch on the chain and squeezing a ch 1 in between each hdc, for your pattern section? The cuffs I have fine & understand the turning chain concept. It’s your pattern portion mentioned on your website that I’m curious about.
@SpoonsHooks2 жыл бұрын
@@ImKodiBrooks ah no, I thought you were referring to the turning chain. No, in the stitch pattern I used, you would work hdc in every other chain, and when you ch-1 between hdc, skip over that chain.

I have watched several videos on how to do this and yours is, BY FAR, the most informative! I could not understand how to determine how to find the chain part making this until i watched your video and you suggested pinching the chain stitch after making it! Thank you for visually and verbally explaining this so well!!!
@SpoonsHooks4 жыл бұрын
Anita - I'm so glad this helped! I couldn't get the hang of foundation stitches either until I figured out the pinch trick. Now I can crochet foundation stitches in my sleep. :-)

Lovely pattern. I don’t think I’ve seen a shrug using Landscapes yarn before. It is such a thick, cozy beautiful yarn!! It’s one of my favorite. I’ve made a sweater using the light blue/silver color. You can make a simple sweater that will look stunning with this yarn!!

Thank you for posting that foundation stitch - you made it very easy to follow. Can you help me with connecting that so it makes a round for a neckline - not sure how the connecting part goes.
