You should get some kind of Pokémon Noble prize for that. It's simply incredible. Mad respect

This is impressive and honestly mind blowing. The fact that you made an algorithm that wins no matter the outcome of rng. But I have to confess I came here expecting a braille terminal... edit: ok this is insane

This might be a dumb question but he plugged all these inputs into a TAS right?

would be a pain to set up, but live streaming this using multiple modified GBAs or gamecubes with gamboy players, and a micro computer to automate all of the inputs would be interesting.

This video is over a year old at this point, but I still come back here and watch it whenever I can. It's the most fascinating and exciting KZbin video I've ever watched, and each time I watch it I get entirely absorbed into the narrative again and again. What an amazing concept, I would love to see more!

Every time someone mentions parallel universes in the context of the deeper mechanics of video games (maybe a game could have parallel universes as part of its story or gameplay, which is why I say deeper mechanics specifically) and TJ Henry Yoshi isn't in the comment section is a prime example as to why our society has fallen.

Did this guys just do a Pokémon challenge and disappear of the face of the planet or something. I remember seeing this when it came out a year ago and now I’m watching this again only to find out that this guy hasn’t posted anything since.

This was really interesting. I thought this was going to be seed manipulation but this was so much more methodical. I am interested in how you managed to get all the clips to demonstrate the exact scenarios you were talking about at any given point. Did you have to sieve through thousands of possibilities to track down the one you needed for the point?
@martsnack12 күн бұрын
pretty much, though it was all automated. I had the sequence of inputs anyway, so I could make a save state, load it, run the sequence for a section I wanted to film, and at the end I'd have the script check the game's memory for specific conditions, like for example, if my pokemon's health was X (where X is only possible if we get crit 3 times in a row) and if it is true, output the seed it occurs on so I could manually go back and check it and decide if I wanted to record it. Looking back, it's quite archaic :p

So blind and deaf people have to play Pokemon in the 4th dimension across all possible timelines all at once? That's intense man, Nintendo needs to make their games more accessible.
