If you've somehow been recommended this video, this is a placeholder video meant to allow people to find this channel, where I'll be posting a video explaining how I beat Pokemon Firered while blind and deaf (single button sequence run). I posted about this project elsewhere and people are coming here in anticipation of the video, which is coming soon.

Wait are you yourself blind and deaf or will you be covering your eyes and turning down the volume?
@martsnack Жыл бұрын
@@Coconut_Prrson I'm not blind and deaf, there's no visuals or audio to the game, but in reality the project is mostly just a single button sequence run. I've written down a list of inputs that will always beat pokemon Firered if you press them in that order. In other words, even without visuals and audio (to the game) so long as you have the list you can beat the game without seeing or hearing it. Hence, blind and deaf.
@jo40p3dr0 Жыл бұрын
It was very smart and actually worked, since the blind and deaf run appeared to me and I'm not even a native English speaker. I wish you good luck XD
@veemoose Жыл бұрын
@@martsnack I'm not too versed in the details of making/running TASes, but out of curiosity, did you end up having a script or something that could run these inputs automatically if desired, or did you manually enter the inputs? In other words, is there some file or list of inputs that could be used to replicate a run? I'd be interested myself in seeing if I could get it to work and maybe running some experiments with it (e.g., seeing what percentage of runs fail or end up on one path vs another)

Just watched the run, probably the most incredible piece of Pokémon content I’ve ever seen. Just curious, did you study mathematics or something related to that field? Keep up the great work man!

Hi, I just finished watching your run and it was honestly the most incredible piece of Pokémon content I’ve ever watched, I don’t usually play the games, I watch content for the nostalgia but you’ve genuinely made me want to pick up the games myself again. Not sure how because I’m not going to come close to attempting the insanity that you have! Really impressed though and I can’t wait for your next project!

Yo brother, was wondering what resource you use to find all the recognizable, non-copywrite music you use in your blind/deaf vid. Haven't finished the vid yet but it is art so far, absolute banger - you can tell it's a BIIIG labor of love!
@martsnack Жыл бұрын
I'm extremely late to answering this but I use the IMSLP (International Music Score Library Project) to find classical music performances that are in the public domain, royalty free music available through WhiteBatAudio, and the rest of it I personally asked artists from a chiptune community I'm a part of to use their songs in my project.
