I used to sing this song when I was a little child, when swinging high on my swing. My father taught me this song, he lived near a church that had a choir that sang spirituals. Before he died he requested that this song be played. I used Kathleen Battles version. She has the most amazing voice, I know Dad and all the other angels were proud.

MY JACK RUSSELL TERRIER, WAS PHYSICALLY ABUSED BY HIS FORMER FAMILY. WHEN HE ARRIVED TO ME HE WAS NASTY AND SNARLY. VERY DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH AND CARE FOR. WHEN HE HEARD KATHLEEN BATTLE SING, HE CALMED DOWN, IMMEDIATELY AND SOOTHED DOWN. WHENEVER HE WAS UPSET, I WOULD PLAY MS. BATTLE'S VOICE AND HE WAS INSTANTLY SOOTHED. HE LLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED HER VOICE AND SO DO I, SO VERY MUCH.
