It's called an equilibrium shift. Standing still while the virtual environment around you is moving can disturb your brain's equilibrium.

i have quest 2 but im not 100% sure i didnt used it for like a year but i believe with quest you are connecting to the USB port instead of hdmi etc.. that would deal with the problem in the video too

Get a Quest 3 and use Virtual Desktop and you'll have no lag and a great experience especially for msfs2024 for some reason other headsets don't like the Sim or do as well

6:04 This is a feature if aything. It is possible to disable it. Good for other VR games where you gust look ahead and dont need to move your eyes like the sim does.

Its because there is a limit to how high spec the display outputs can be. With a 4k 240hz monitor you cant use much else

If you use a oculus quest, you can run the headset off of either air link(over WiFi) or plugging in USB. That would eliminate the DisplayPort problems you have

Hey man, the blurriness on the outside of the image is very normal. It's to help with performance. Since that area is more in the peripheral vision, brain doesn't really register it as much. Was interesting to hear you could see the edges pretty clearly though. I heard Pimax were well known for large FOV headsets.

The Crystal is only 105 horizontal. Previous headsets had a lot more FOV, like 140 horizontal

The monitor thing can be fixed by using a second, less expensive video card like a gt 1050 or an rx580. they go on sale for not much (even less used) and if it doesnt fit there are PCIe risers. you would just have to plug the vr headset, or even use an extension cable for displayport.

Hey Aaron. I recommend flying aerofly FS4 in VR as its Way better, because you can do everything with your hands, also a cold and dark. you dont need a joystick and it feels more real.

My 4090 and Wifi 6 router work perfectly untethered with my Quest 3. I get at least 2 hours of untethered play - more if I mute the Quest’s speakers. Can it be true that the Pimax really needs you to go scrabbling under your desk and unplugging monitors?! Yesterday I took my HOTAS and Quest 3 into the garage, leaving my PC and monitors in the house and it was perfect.

Your first ~30 hours using a VR headset will show some motion sickness or fatigue. For some it goes away sooner. Some will always get motion sick depending on the game

meta quest 2/3 just uses a USB 3 port, and you can keep your monitors on. I have 3 1440p monitors and I can run MSFS in VR on my Quest 2

Hi you have a bigger voice than I do, can you try VR at night a bove a city and a little bit of weather, and bank the plane left or tilt your head. There's a bug where the lights fades aways in the left eye only, it's game breaking at night ( that is otherwise magnificent). I reported the bug...however I was told that resources are alocated on console issues. I can't understand how they could miss this glaring issue and how they are not planning on fixing it :( Maybe if you talk about it they could fix it, it looks like an easy fix. Thank you

So why you are feeling a little dizzy is because you are not moving but your eyes see you moving and your brain is telling your eyes that you’re not moving but you’re eyes think that you are moving so it’s a little confuseing really you’re eyes and brain are getting in a fight

He also talks about positives and negatives, so if anything it seems like a legit review which for someone like me who never used vr and is interested, he addresses points like power necessities and motion sickness. Used to do sim racing in vr, it was really fun. But the frustrations of vr ruined it completely for me, wish i could get some more out of my quest 2, but the amount of troubleshooting you have to do just to get things to work and look okayy looking just isnt worth it imo sadly. VR software is genuinely awful.
