your normally supposed to full thottle after wires catch the hook so that you dont get flinged like u did with the f14

You have to floor it when you hit the deck then turn the throttle down and pickup the hook when you when you stop or you go flying off the deck also don't get the last cables get the first or second or you go to far on the deck and you get flung off (Trust me I have experience)

A perfect 10 on a two wire? What the heck. I will say starting out on the Tomcat was probably a mistake for two reasons. 1: it was notoriously difficult to get on the ship during it's service career. 2: IFE/heat blur were unable to model the direct lift control well due to limitations in the sim. The DLC system made it so that the pilot could easily change the decent rate without changing the pitch or power
