I have a mission scheduled behind the mountains, I will surely lose TX signal, I will use the parameter failsafe_mission_delay = -1 so that the mission continues using the GPS. But what happens if I also lose the GPS? What function would this parameter do in the mission failsafe_gps_fix_estimation_delay = -1 ?. Would it be better to activate the failsafe_gps_fix_estimation_delay = 7 ? Would this activate the FS even if I have the ailsafe_mission_delay = -1 ?

Looking for some guidance. I have set this all up. Most things work. The gyro compensates for left and right roll, but when it compensates for up/down they move in the wrong direction. I have tried to change the direction of Elev in the Lua script page but then one ailreon moves up and the other one down. I tried to reverse them in the outputs and it made no difference.

Resetting the calibration works until i reboot. Then its stuck in manual mode again

Darren. Question. I have a TD R12 receiver, registered it and binded it. Updated the receiver firmware. I'm trying to use channel 11 and 12 for ignition cutoff and engine auto start. It seems I can't get 11 & 12 to work at all. 1 thru 10 channels work fine. I'm thinking its a defect in the receiver. Any thoughts? David

Question....do I have to fine tune each reciever...I have frsky, rcmotion, radio master 86 each have a different fine tune value....is this right? Currently have same rf low, rssi low etc even binding it to my old tarranis!....anttenae @ 90* to each other both in model & out! Other recievers seem ok!

Thanks for this, all your videos have been a great help setting up my first iNav fixed wing. Setting safehome points has a 'Land Alt' option. Default is 5m which seems to be added to the elevation of the safe home point! How is land altitude different from elevation of the safe home location, or is this meant to be a manual correction? I like your channel it's helper me out a lot with my new s20x radio, I have a question about the rssi ,I have arx8r accst receiver in a plane and it was working good for a while but all of a sudden the rssi warning is coming on all the time even when the plane is very close but the plane still handles ok how do fix this . Hi Darren! I've had similar issue with my stock esc+motor. I just did not make it to the flying field and just replaced them "just in case". I've got the same motor (flying with 3s18650 Molicels). Have you changed anything in the PIDs or flying with default ones? I''ve noticed the ailerons are very, very flimsy and wondering how much impact it has on the PIDs. Or, perhaps, they could be made stiffer?

Hi Daren I know you can add voice value to a switch or logic switch buuuuuut can you add a voice value to any of the four sticks? The reason I ask before you assume that I’m nuts is I’m building a tugboat and thought it might be fun to have call out of say “ full speed ahead” when you advance the throttle stick fully forward. Oh and if you think that is nuts I’m thinking of adding inav to run a camera and telemetry on the bridge( cockpit for you airplane types). Love your vids on ethos and inav keep them coming!

It's a very Caddx product in that it's very cool, I'm glad they've made it. And it comes with the "but..." Some very strange design choices. I've recently read that this VTX is not natively compatible with the new camera gimbals? Strange SD slot. And currently if you want to use this with a Moonlight you either end up with a camera you aren't using or you purchase 2 kits and swap around the bits. Just strange.

Hi Darren, bing maps is no longer taking on new accounts as it is being shut down and you now need to make a Azure maps account instead. HOWEVER this is not supported by inav. dont suppose you want to share or create a bing key for me? :/

I assume that in the UK this is actually 868Mhz rather than 900/915. Is the frequency selected by the choice of TX module firmware (LBT v FCC) ?

I design PCB boards and I use micro SD card slots like here 3:30 . As a designer you use them to gain some PCB area to mount components and keep overall board smaller. This type memory card slot has smallest footprint. Ofcourse everyone need to consider how this will impact ergonomics of the product and how it will be implemented in the product housing.

Hi thanks, for your video. Some insights form me: 1. It might be that they are avoiding MMCX because it will increase likelihood that user will power it up without antennas. They will burn 2W RF power amplifier and will go to social media to beat them that hardware is crap. 2. They might need different RF channel directly connected to internal antenna for a pit mode because the chipset is limited with built in attenuators and they can not attenuate 2W PA input enough to limit the power at the output to meet pit mode levels. I know that because I design RF electronics and have faced that situation where my RF chipset + PA lowest power setting is too big for what we needed in low range binding mode. 3. I see quite often people interpret digital system RF power output with that mystical theory. In reality Digital and Analog RF outputs are the same if you treat them the same. The difference comes from the fact that digital systems are sending in packets. One time period VTX is sending, the other it is not. That pause between packets gives lower average power that all cheap RF Power meters are measuring. On the other hand if with real time spectrum analyzer you will grab and freeze single packet it will still appear lower power because all these fast video links are using spread spectrum modulations like some flavor of OFDM ant they spread declared RF power over the full bandwidth. While analog transmitters are single modulated wave RF, what you se is what you get.

Nah, caddx isn't getting anymore of my money until they fix the system. The firmware is complete shit, after the pro cam compatible firmware was released it's like we have reverted to day one of release with the ground smear and the shitty penetration. All caddx can seem to do is keep releasing different versions of the same hardware. FIX THE FIRMWARE CADDX.

FPV flight is a LOT more environmentally friendly than any other form of leisure flying and yet all we get is a little bit of borrowed airspace and a low power smidgen of the radio transmission spectrum. Needs to change. Fair access to airspace is easily possible without reducing safety. For example - how about manned aircraft staying above 2000 feet and away from registered model flying sites?
