My crab has been living in the little tote alone with calcium sand, artificial shell 3 inches of sand, no heater and ive been feeding him for he pellets, he’s been alive for 7 months 😭💀💀😭

😢 but if you are moving or have a flood there should be an emergency protocol for having no reason but to dig them up Would be nice to have videos on this. I am sure you wouldn't let them drown or what have you on a few important reasons

We have 13 hermit crabs. They keep dying though. I did some research and turns out my hermit crab's cage is not moist. Also if you think about getting 13 hermit crabs, you might just want to get 2. And just so you know hermit crabs are omnivores. If you want hermit crabs also make sure that when they are molting you put them in a different cage. I made this mistake and my hermit crab died. Pls if you want hermit crabs don't make as much mistakes i have. Also give them lots of room to rome.

I used the premixed Josh Frogs biobedding for hermit crabs and didn't wet it at all. Is that right? It seems pretty dry after 4 months with consistent 80% humidity. Not a lot of tunneling happening except under the hamster wheel

You don’t have to add ANYTHING to your water to decorate your water… just coming out of the faucet and sitting in a container with the lid off will be fine, and/or air-rate the water over night is even better

I have NO idea how my sons crab got out of the tank and how it got all the way to the washroom but I stepped on him!! I feel so so horrible, the shells crushes but he seems ok I put him back in the tank and put shells around him so now I’m looking to see what I need to do and thankfully I came across this I’ll do this immediately. I really hope I didn’t kill the little guy, I am so upset for him.

Planning to get hermit crabs soon and I thought you were supposed to mist their tank with water?

I have different sized crabs, 1 tiny (pumpkin), 1 small(berry), and one medium (coconut)I don’t want pumpkin to drown, but I also want coconut do submerge. What do I do??
