This is really cool stuff. Ghost notes are something I've done but never really thought about consciously -- because I tend to record in the midi data with a keyboard as often as I sequence it. One other thing that did really help me was to just watch a lot of videos of drummers playing and look at how they move. Then as I'm recording or programming the midi I can sort of picture what a drummer would be physically doing and sort of intuitively work from there to figure out how to program or play what my mind's eye sees. An extra layer of information like that is always a help.

Nice detailed comparison! Good stuff! Tip: if you use a dry preset all of the reverbs are turned off and you get a real tight and more dynamic sound. The heavy reverb on the used preset really squashes the sound. But I loved the in-depth comparison video, Tnx for taking the time 😃

Hey! Could you please record a short video to show how to activate different slots using midi mapping with automatic arm enabled on the selected track so that the record would start on a chosen slot WITHOUT a need to enable the arm record button on a corresponding track every time? Thank you

Excellent, thanks brother. Was more trying to figure out if the select next scene worked with a midi mapping, as it doesn't function like that if you click the scene with the mouse, only if you press enter. Got lucky that you happened to show just that, I appreciate the quick concise info.

Good day, Peter! Could you please tell me, is the main tune traditional or it has the author? Yeah, I see the comment below that told it is "a very old gipsy song from Romania", but may be you can give more information about the melody.

The articulations are recorded with "up to 27" levels of velocity, not 125. They would not be able to record 125 velocity layers unless it was performed by a robot.

I just buy a similar things (may be), it was SPX900 On my country Indonesia, we only use it for Vocal effect. And widely applied in various regions of the country. However, I don't understand the use of SPX for anything in other countries. Can you/another person tell me?
@sub-jec-tiv
@sub-jec-tiv Жыл бұрын
People use it for everything; guitar, vocal, horns, drums etc. 😊 Yamaha made it very flexible, and programs for many instruments. In England in the late80s-90s guitarists used SPX series to make a dreamy rock music called Shoegaze. Check out Slowdive ‘Souvlaki’ album or My Bloody Valentine ‘Loveless.’ They both use Yamaha’s ‘Symphonic’ chorus and reverse reverbs.
