Despite my altogether too many guns, I've only owned one, a Marlin 45-70...and that was actually the first rifle I purchased instead of inherited. Interesting enough, after I moved to Alaska I realized that a good 12ga was better all the way around as a survival gun and for bear protection. Good news is, there's always some cheechako willing to spend too much on a used 45-70. Carrying one is a great way of saying "I just moved here" to a rural Alaskan. Fun guns and a great piece of Americana, just not the most practical.

Had my CSX optic cut for $80 by NamelessArms and couldn’t be happier. They made sure my supplied Holosun’s built in sight works with the factory front. Trigger is awesome and even with the cut and added red dot, you’re hundreds less than the Kimber.

I love the idea of this system, however it currently has (in my mind) a major flaw, it uses CO2 and there is no current infrastructure to refill the tanks, you have to send out 2 tanks, but the unit comes with only 1, then assuming you buy an extra one you have to send them (both) in and get a discount on buying 2 more tanks. If the system were to use Green Gas or even propane, refilling would be very simple without having to wait 7 to 14 days to get new tanks. This keeps me from purchasing the system, refill is too much trouble.

I had the TISAS version, it would not run with my Holosun optic on it, it would run with the optic that came with it, though it would run best with NO optic on it at all. In my opinion, if you are looking for a cheap 2011, just buy the TISAS, if you are looking to spend $1000, there are better options than the MAC

Why would you have to de-cock the gun for Limited Optics? The whole reason for the division was to allow single action guns.

No reason to ever buy a Sig. Way over priced, for how often that they fail. Why buy Sig when the Hellcat, the Shield Plus, and any SC or micro Caniks are available? All three are much better for much cheaper. The S&W and Canik triggers blow Sig’s garbage out of the water.

I do work a gun counter actually. The number one selling brand by volume in order is Taurus followed by Canik, Ruger, Glock, Smith & Wesson, Sig, Heritage, Springfield, and then everyone else. It all comes down to price point. That goes for LE as well, but they have to stay in the box their department tells them to. Sometimes the fresh ones come in and know nothing about any of the guns but just point and say "Ya that is the one we trained with." The new recruits come in either with a list of approved options or they just go get the one that they were told to go get (which is never going to be a Staccato). Staccato HD is $2500 Glock is $500 and just because the HD takes Glock mags and Mec Gar is making cheap mags (Magpul and pro mag already make cheap mags). Sure you will see some officers at the high end that really care about what they carry get a Staccato but unless they shave off $2k for officers and as they have to buy their own guns they are still going to get Glock. I already have seen LE carrying Staccatos or other high end options, but I have also seen people in uniform with some real cheep guns too. The ONLY way I see the Staccato replacing Glock as the go to option for LE is if they can get that price down to about $350 for LE individuals and I doubt that would even be a break even for them on the gun so every LE gun would be at a loss for Staccato. The fact Glock has really changed nothing sense the 80s other than little tweaks here and there and can stay so well at the top in so many peoples eyes (It is not my main gun though). It is proof that Glock is going nowhere UNLESS they start trying to mess with stuff because they think they have to and people dont like the different stuff they come out with. Glock is in the position where they have the perfect price for 'most' people that want a good reliable (usually) pistol with a massive support market and that they can do whatever they want to it. Would I love one of these new Stacatos myself? Sure I would, but I am never paying that much money for a pistol ever in my life unless I win the lotto or something. I dont care if the gun looks like crap and someone hit it with a rock. So long as it fits in my holster, goes bang every time I pull the trigger, and is more accurate than I am I dont care what name is carved on the side or how smooth it feels when I manually work the slide with my hands. I carry a Canik. Also just as an aside here. The Mec Gar mags are nothing all that special either. By ditching the plastic all they managed was ONE extra round. The Glock 17 flush fit mag they make is 18 rounds and the one made for the 19 is just the 17 mag with a spacer. It is not like the metal flush fit mags for the 43x and 48 that take the count from 10 to 15. The biggest thing about them is they are cheaper and that is all.

Compensator should have been half of that size.

Glock has always sucked. I think more people are just coming to that realization.

Sweet. I own 229 SAO Legion, one of the best ever made. SAIT SRT trigger is lights out. Recently bought M and P 2.0 3.6”, very nice shooter, EDC, grip is awesome.

Is that what A4s are going for now? $1k? I didn't pay nearly that much for one a couple years ago.
