I don't understand the second exercise. Do you want the jaw to slide forward or not. Thanks in advance. Also is it normal to experience an ear pop with these type of exercises? Thanks from sk.

@@lstone3633 in the video I accidentally say to protract the jaw. It should say protrude. So yes you should should allow the jaw to slide forward. Click in the ear is likely the jaw clicking. I don't want that to be painful.

@DrNotleyChiro Thank you so much for your reply. No click, probably more a slight release of pressure and my ears feeling more "open". I have super tense swollen masseter and trigeminal neuralgia following extensive dental work and generally a tense jaw for reference. If you ever do a video on TN relief, I am here for it. I'll keep on with your exercises:) Thanks again. Laurie

Sir so i cant do stretching in the morning? How long should i wait? Why nobody tells that except of you? All across on web videos that you must stretch in the morning, especially spine. Thanks
@DrNotleyChiro

As the video indicates, in the first half hour of the day, let's not push maximal range of motion. I don't have a problem if you perform mobility exercises that are lower intensity just to get your spine moving. Generally speaking (without knowing your own personal story) once you are up and moving in the morning, and you find stretching helps with your pain in your spine, I don't see a problem with a stretching program that works for you. Regards

Thanks for responding. This is another account and I was watching vids on cwl again because I just have this permanent head ache fatigue right at the base of the skull. Im on Medicaid now so I'm trying to figure out best next steps. It's frightening how many people are walking around in pain. I just can't deal with it anymore. I found a good family practice doctor and will get referrals. I was hit by a car and in a car accident and at a concert show someone jumped off the stage and landed right on my head slamming my chin into my chest bad. I immediately went home in pain. It's unbearable now that I'm 57. This all happened 30 yrs ago and I wish I read the symptoms or had better therapy back in 89 /93. The list of symptoms was so enlightening. Oddly the list of symptoms from an ulcer overlap "dizziness" etc I'm being treated for an ulcer as well. I'm constantly dizzy and getting ill just turning my head while grocery shopping. I've been sick for a few months now so thank God I got the Medicaid. I've nearly given up a couple times which is completely absurd when I should just seek help. Thanks again. Maybe I'll update any progress!

I hate this answer, but, it depends. From my experience, progressive loading of the muscle within pain tolerance and without aggravation is the way to go with these problems. When performed slowly there is a certain degree of load (stress) placed on the muscle attachments/muscles. In the beginning of the injury, this might be an appropriate exercise because the tissue may not tolerate much stress. This is why stretching is often prescribed as an exercise for these elbow issues. But there comes a point that you need to work on loading it up more. As I've learned, the pain not necessarily reduce but the ability to more work improves and this is so important for people who use their hands. As for how often. Generally speaking you can do these daily. How much for you depends on the tolerance of your tissues.

@@DrNotleyChiro Thank you for replying & advice, I went for tmj setting on my right side which set off after 1 year of car accident, Car accident date 2 feb 2022, Tmj discovered on april 2023...and tired of it i went to chiro on december 14...he cracked my neck left & right then pressed my jaw of right side then from left side...all cracked but left side didnt made crack sound, Tmj remained as it is.. and when i asked him he ignored click saying it cant be corrected & if i do something else it,l damage something of disc...i said ok i dont want risks, Click use to come on chewing earlier or talking much there was some pain but regular clicking settled off itself few months ago but it will happen some time and surely happen if i put my finger on ear then it,l be little painful click, Dentist couldnt do anything thus i went for chiro.... Chiro's pre massage therapist & muscle specialist putted a heat pad n massager and gave me some massage n pressed some fingers on my back too hard which i told him to soften but it was too late, then went to dr & he cracked...jaw n neck.......few days it took to recover from pain of massager fingers inserted hard in my neck...then i discovered i have pain n swelling on my right corner side back of skull & neck joining is swollen with pain for which i used hot n cold therapy myself and it went away but i discovered when i move to extreme left then i got a pinched nerve n feel sensation in my left shoulder in nerves when i move to extreme left....little left was ok....coming back i hear a click and grinding... With some exercises that click went away but grinding is there and i tried some other un casual movements of neck but there i found some another click n grind.... I wouldnt go for any cracking of spine or neck thus in future...considering now i read could also have vertebre artery dissect...pinched nerve...neck creptis...et c n neither i was aware or he took consent to crack or told me its risks..could cause neck crepties which i think he should have done.... Now apart from xray do you think mri is also neccesary? I shall go to ortho? Does neck creptis occur usually after chiro neck cracking...cuz i never had any neck issue and iam just 34 And what you di to cure...how long it takes ...can u pls give some ideas as much as you csn for above ? Thanks a ton

concussion is a type of brain injury. your type of injury may be affecting leg strength. When I treat my patients with concussions I'm focusing on the muscles.
