Sorry but I have to downvote this video, and that's something I rarely do when someone has gone to such efforts to produce it. Understating the brutally destructive capability of the Green River Lakes Road is doing everyone a terrible disservice. It's one of my favorite places to camp because it's close to home. It is also being loved to death. If you visit please be courteous, respectful and show appreciation the people who had the foresight to protect it for future generations.

@HaventSeenItYet3 ай бұрын
Some avid RV owners refer to boondocking as dry camping or free camping. Others may refer to it as independent or wild camping. Boondocking in the RV world means that you are not connected to water, sewer, or electricity.

The USDA Forest Service has lost access to Paradise Point per a 2020 press release: www.fs.usda.gov/detail/hiawatha/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD808965. "To limit potential liability concerns, the private landowner has decided to close the section of FR 2491 on their property". So now it's only accessible by boat. Which might actually be a funner way to go.

Have been to Taquanomon falls for sure and I think the Sable falls- I definitely remember doing lots of stairs🤣. Fun story: my SIL thought it was a short hike between the lower( where we started) T falls and the upper and that it was boardwalk the whole way. There were 8 adults, a 9 month old who wasnt walking yet, and 1 dog. One adult was diabetic, 2 with bad knees and one very overweight/ out of shape person. We had NO snacks, and no water. It was mid summer. The trail was beautiful but we were not smart at all and it's surprising no one ended up in the hospital. Everyone made it and we proudly tell the story regularly. 😅 We are visiting the u.p. again this summer. Hope to see more. Well be sharing your video with my fellow plane

What sources do you use to research the areas you go to?
@HaventSeenItYet Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. We usually pick an area (or see something on KZbin that peeks our interest) and then we watch every video we can find about the area. We also just google places and research online, like “must see things in Wyoming “. We usually layout the big paper map and mark all the things we want to see in an area (or state) and draw a route to see as many of those places we we can. Hope that was helpful. Good luck with your travels!

This is a great video now have of this area. Coincidentally we were staying at Fremont Lake Campground around the same time you were near the Green River Lakes. We have seen about half of your videos now. I like how you incorporate history w your travels. I did have one question on you. You had mentioned the road to Green River Lake had a number of potholes in it. Do you think it is too rough for the travel trailer we are pulling (28ft). Would really like to go to theGreen River Campground but was not sure about pulling a trailer there. Thanks
@HaventSeenItYet Жыл бұрын
Mark, funny about you camping Fremont Lake, not too far from where we were. Maybe we passed each other in Pinedale. You asked about the rough road to the Green River Lakes, yes they were rough but you should be able to take a trailer there. Here is a video that convinced us to visit and he pulls a trailer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHLYnpt_bZ6hkK8 We did air down when leaving and that helped tremendously. Hopefully you enjoy that location as much as we did. Let us know how it goes.

Good to know. We are planning on a Oregon history tour this year out west so we have Green River lakes on our agenda. Back in 2021 we did the Lewis and Clark trail from ND to Idaho, which was great. Appreciate the Oregon Trail history which will help us this year. We will ask the NFS in Pinedale about the road before we get there to check on current road conditions. We have seen several episodes of Grand Adventure but did not see this one so thanks for the link. BTW you are a great drone pilot too. I used to fly RC airplanes so know somewhat how hard this is. Thnaks for replying.
