Have you ever written with a Paper Mate Mark VI? I think it is the best fountain pen in the world. I have several and they are all great!

I have thie exact same Parker 51 with the 1943 2-dot date code. My dad bought it in Casablanca, Morocco during WW II. I inherited the pen after he passed away in 1999. I've had the Vacumatic filling system replaced recently and I love writing with it.

Beautiful pen. I have the lesser model 66 which has no lever for the sac. What it does have is a chrome ring over the area where the sac mounts. Can't order a new sac until I get it off although I have come up with 7.5mm by taking the ring wall thickness off the diameter. Of course there will be old sac so the nib section's sac mount may be a tad smaller than 7.5mm.

Drinks, you are awesome! I just disassembled the pen, easy. Now I have to unblock the nib. It is not writing properly. Is there a large hole where the ink cartridge punctures through? Mine cannot fit a small paper clip but when I squeeze the cartridge, in, does go through but there is not a big hole 🤔. Anyways, thank you thank you thank you!!! 🙏❤️🥰

Погоди. Эта ручка же не конвертер. Этот метод заправки паркер называл "aerometric". По сути там пластиковый мешок. При нажатии на железку ты сжимаешь его. При разжатии мешок затягивает чернила.

Нет, это же не Паркер 51, Это 50, тут можно поставить и использовать картридж или конвертер, от сюда и система картридж/конвертер. Что касается самого конвертера, то они сами по себе бывают разные [поршневые, аерометрики и т.д.]

I loved watching watch restorations but the same patience and skill goes into this craft as well. You must have steady patient hands to do such magnificent work.
