ok so no need for Stabelizer ... ok that makes sense when stippeling but what about if your putting say a cute elephant on a t shirt ?

I noticed your not using any embroidery hoops…. So will my Janome 12000 do this without any hoops as I find the hoops don’t like holding material with layers Thanks

Pro tip...when removing the needle thread, don't pull it backwards through the guides. Snip the thread next to the cotton reel and pull the thread through, from down near the needle. Reason?...the thread guides often have a 'lead' on them (like it tapers) but not on the trailing edge. If you pull the thread backwards it might split and ball up the thread under the guide. Then its a trip to a Tech to clean it out.

I don't have a local Janome dealer any more and recently by needle threader tries to move downward to load the needle but makes a funny noise, moves half way down but doesn't finish and doesn't thread my needle on my Memory Craft 15000. Do you know what the problem is and how I can fix it? I've been threading my needle manually which is a pain. No other dealer will look at this and tell me I have to take it to a Janome dealer which is a problem as the nearest one is 2 hours away. I would have to make 2 trips and wait weeks to get my machine. I'd rather not. I'm just wondering if it is an adjustment that would be easy to do. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Vicki

Thank you for such clear instructions on Acufil ( and the zip bag). Had my 15000 for a couple years but just getting into the "finer points" and trying to learn to use the toys better.

Can you do a video on how and when to oil your Janome 15000?

Hi Patty, they don't recommend oiling your machine. The newer models don't require it. Is there anything else you would like to see a video on?
@colleen69602 жыл бұрын
This is most incorrect, ALL sewing machines require oiling as they all have multiple metal moving parts. However, sewing machine owners are often advised NOT to carry out routine oiling as this can ONLY be done by service agents or repairers. I get annoyed at sewing machine retailers treating customers like ‘dim wits’. Yes there are areas of most modern sewing machines that are more difficult to get to & perhaps having a service agent clean & oil these parts occasionally is useful, however, to suggest you shouldn’t oil your machine at all is nonsense.

My threader was working great until I changed needles. The threader goes through the motions, but it doesn’t Thread the needle. The need is in correctly. I checked that. Have you run into this problem?

Hi Jan, this isn't something I have found, I would however suggest try reseating the needle again and make sure it is set to the correct hight in the shank.

I am having trouble with my automatic needle on my 15000. Went back to the dealer almost immediately. Bought it and now it's happening again. Is there a Certain length needle to use. I would have thought any needle would be ok. It looks as if it's missing the target I bring up the needle when turning on the machine
@HelenJonesQuilting7 жыл бұрын
Hi Pat, I have this issue myself on occasions, I would talk to your dealer first, but I give my needle threader a good brush to make sure there is no lint stuck, as well as the needle, and this helps. However I do find some thread just doesn't work at all 😠 which can be frustrating.
@chrislaplant87487 жыл бұрын
Helen, I just found you and what a find. I was wondering if you know how to remove the thread cutter because I had the thread wind around under the thread cutter and I can't get all of the thread out. Thanks u r g8
@HelenJonesQuilting7 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, thanks for your encouraging comments 😍. I have had this problem only once, and managed to fix it by giving my bobbin area a good clean. Take the bobbin and case out and using your supplied brush get all the lint out, then put everything back in place and see how you go....if still no luck you will need to contact your Janome dealer and see what they recommend.

I thought it would be a good idea to be able to do this. I have decided however that stippling with my sewing machine rather than an emboidery machine is going to be far more fun and so much quicker. Will be very useful for other quilting designs though. Great tutorial, thanks!

I think your tutorias l are very good. As a new owner of the 15000 how can you stipple with a design already embroidered and get the stippling to leave it alone or would I have to stop the machine and manually place the stippling away from the design. Could the acufil software be created to avoid the embroidery design.
@HelenJonesQuilting8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Pat. The stippling on the MC15000 is only designed as an all over pattern, however I have done an all over stippling and then added other patterns from the machine over the top of it, it comes out really nicely.

Hello from Texas. I love this video. You make it so simple and easy to understand. I was following along on my laptop which helped a lot. Do you always start with the center and work out from there? I'm making a quilt and this is the first time to use the Acu-Fil tool and am really excited now. I just got the acu-setter and played with a little and I think that will make things even easier. We've come a long way from those little black Singers.

Yes I always start in the middle, I tend to go in somewhat of a circle so the fabric will not distort
