Helen, I just found you and what a find. I was wondering if you know how to remove the thread cutter because I had the thread wind around under the thread cutter and I can't get all of the thread out. Thanks u r g8

Hi Chris, thanks for your encouraging comments 😍. I have had this problem only once, and managed to fix it by giving my bobbin area a good clean. Take the bobbin and case out and using your supplied brush get all the lint out, then put everything back in place and see how you go....if still no luck you will need to contact your Janome dealer and see what they recommend.

can i use the acufil software with my janome mb4? I use Embird for my Digitizing program.

+Digital Horses Yes I believe you can, they take .jef files which is what Acufil creates amongst other formats. Is this something you would like to try? I could make a test file on acufil and send it to you?

+Digital Horses I don't know too much about the MB4 and what hoops it has and if they are the same size as the MC12000/15000 but acufil stipple is just a collection of JEF files in different sizes. I can imagine loading them up would work, without doing some testing it would be hard to confirm. Do you have a local Janome Dealer that has the software you could get them to create a test piece and give yo the file to test out on your machine?

HI Helen. Thanks for responding. Yes , my Mb4 takes jef+ files. But the only problem I see is that they don't make Acufil Hoops fof the Janome Mbe4 yet. It may be that they will only be used on the sewing / embroidery machines.
