Not sure if you will touch upon this (I'm part way through and unfortunately can't hear what you are talking about due to my watching the video in public) but a huge difference, to me, has that the famous artists in the past rarely tried to pass it off as an original idea. They also recreated the piece in their style and the inspiration is quite clear. They also were"copying" works that were well known during their time. Also the studying from other artists' works by re-creation is still a popular way to learn. The issue is a lot of modern artists copy the idea and the style while not really adding anything new to the piece. People now also often copy from people who are not well known, so it is much easier to pass off as their own piece. We have access to so much more works of art than any person could potentially be subject to in the past that we are more likely to find a piece that we want to emulate. I find many people falling into the pattern of copying everything from technique to color matching to medium, basically making a reproduction. Always credit the original artist and the piece. Especially if showcasing the making of in a video like this, have the original and the artist (if they can be found and make a legit effort to find them) on the video instead of just in the description or just verbally stating it. Get permission, written permission if it will end up being sold. I think studying and making copies of art you look up to is beneficial but should really be only used for portfolio work to showcase skills/techniques. If you are inspired by a piece, definitely change enough to make it be an inspiration vs a copy. I probably have some other thoughts but I can't think of them now. Basically always ask yourself if it's becoming too much like a reproduction vs an inspiration. I think your video is a great example of what to do if you are inspired by another artist's piece of work.

Thank you very much for your comprehensive reply. You covered a lot of ground that I did not touch upon. I could make a proper stand alone series on that subject but thought only to touch upon it to show its alright to do so but don't pass it off as your own work. I have recognised a couple of works in local exhibitions that are copies of instagrammers or youtuber work. That's what spured this little video on.. I'm just grateful to Marjorie for allowing me to use her work. Thank you for watching and especially commenting.

Sorry Grace, This was just an initial unbox and play with video. I did put on that I would be doing a full review in the future.... I will certainly get on with that very soon.
