I confess to buying these as soon as I heard about them and have to say they are quite different from the FC 9000. They do mix a bit but they are kind of soft and wear down easily, also the 14B isn't as dark as you would expect but I still like them. Great drawing.!

I also thought it would be darker but I suppose that's just the thing with graphite . Carbon is still the way to get true non shiney blacks.

the nice thing about these is they are a matt carbon not at alllike charcoal pencils like wolff or generals.
