This adjustment worked perfectly for me, my Zippo was very loose and with a lot of calm, patience and a lot of care, it was perfect. Thanks for the tip.

Got my first Zippo about five days ago and your channel has been invaluable. Learned about the Date codes, and found out it's manufactured in Sept, my birth month. Now I want one from my actual birth month in 88. I used the bag trick with one of the ziploc steam bags, since those are the strongest plastic I've found from them. Thank you for all the information.

Im from Viet Nam, RN im using pretty cheap priced zorro lighter fluid (133ml) and zorro butane gas (50grams), each cost like 2 dolars or less 😂, and yeah it works pretty well for me

To be honest I’ve never used anything but Zippo butane. I haven’t had any issues so far. I only use double torches though. When I use them in the summer time I usually top them off for 5/6 seconds every few days. I never let them run dry. Maybe that’s the difference?? Who knows.

I use triple filtered butane in the USA. All the hardware stores near me carry this Lenk brand that has worked great for me for years but the bad thing about it is that it has an odor added to it so when your filling your lighers it stinks up the room for a few minutes
@ElectroPig2 күн бұрын
Using "Canada Light" right now and it seems to be OK after a few refills in the Zippos and in the Chief/YUSUD "Double Flame" inserts...which despite being about 1/4 the price, I prefer over the Zippos becuse you get the regular flame AND a torch in one shot. VERY convenient.

I started using Colibri recently. I have it in my Ronson JetLite I had adjusted the governor and the Ronson butane was still having issues. I put the Colibri in there about a month ago and I didn't adjust the governor back down first, so now the Colibri has a massive flame and turning the flame down doesn't change the flame height much. I am waiting for the fuel to run out before adjusting the governor back down, but it is lasting forever, partially because I don't use a lighter everyday. Ronson works fine in my culinary torches. I went to Canada last week and I didn't get to go to Canadian Tire. I did go to the Timmy's in the same parking lot as Canadian Tire though.

i went to my local canadian tire a few weeks ago to shop for diff brands of lighter fluid and butane. I found emzone products in the outdoors equipment section and decided to give them a try since they are much cheaper than other brands: a 12 oz can of emzone lighter fluid is like 4 bucks while zippo goes for over 10$ for less than 5 oz. Same with butane: emzone is under 5$ for 160g can compared to 12$ for bernzomatic. The fluid may have a a stronger smell than zippo's but i find it seems to last a little longer, like it might be heavier. The butane works just as fine as the bernzomatic. All in all i believe they have high quality products with a fraction of the price of others so ill be sticking with them.
@Zippofanatic77outdoors2 күн бұрын
Yeah I like the em zone butane. Works flawlessly. I don’t like the fluid though. Has a weird smell and taste that I don’t like. I’m Just to use to zippo fluid after 30 years. I will not switch from zippo fluid
@CorporealUndead20242 күн бұрын
Zippo brand butane is the worst cheapest dirtiest shit you can find. Just like the rest of their products these days. Those inserts are shit too, I have to constantly oil the cam rivet or it sticks and doesn't ping when you open it. Just crap. What a shame. And they charge like 5 times more for their substandard crap too! R.I.P. Zippo that I knew. I don't know who's in charge these days, but they are destroying the company.

I heard the ‘Brown’ ones are ‘really bad’.. any truth to this?? Approx ‘57 slim, no date. No copper, looks like a cord/rope with a tight weave. Still really tight right to the tip. Chocolate brown in colour. It’s an old family piece. Filled it up and works! Smoked my bong with it.. and .. read up on it.. “F!” 😂 Wonder if I should send it to Zippo with my other 2 that need a service??

Has a strange colour to the case too. It’s a fancy style, with engraved initials. It’s not the same colour silver as my chrome ones.. brighter, with a slight blue tinge. Like how titanium looks like steel, but beside it, it’s slightly blue.
