Can do!
@tylerthorson77986 сағат бұрын
@BarnesBulletsLLC everyone loves ballistics gel videos, including myself, and I'd love to see the true long range performance of the TTSX and LRX. More so that I know, and others know, the true capability of those bullets. I'm not capable of shooting 400+ yards, but others are, and knowing what an LRX or TTSX mushroom looks like at those distances would probably put people at ease and be very informative about their capabilities.

Absolutely love this ammunition I can honestly say I don’t think I have ever had one round fail to fire. It’s the only ammunition I carry for self defense and recommend to family and friends.

Ask chad haire to back up his own BS. Hey chad, how many combat tours have you completed ? ... Zero ? ...... Thought so. .... Chuck served in Vietnam with my father. Hey chad, how many handgun defense courses have you taught ? ... None ? Exactly.... Chuck Taylor has taught THOUSANDS of them. Hey chad, how many books have you written on military small arms ? .... Zero ? ...... Just as I expected. Until you can present something on your own, regarding your vast firearms knowledge,.... I suggest you STFU.

Because we are sick of seeing test with micro or 3in or less. Grow a set and carry a real pistol. Full size. I have no problem canceling and have no printing nor does anyone I know. Finally someone using a true side arm. Ty my man. If you are still not satisfied. One quick and fast way to rectify this situation is to do your own test and then you can be satisfied. It is truly that simple. Staymsafe all.

You advertise this as a carry round.. most folks arent carrying full size XDs... It irritatws me to see carry ammo with an advertised mv of 1*** , then see in tiny print 5" or 6" test barrel.. if its carry ammo. Use carry size test barrels and stop being shady ..

That's a terrible round if you're shooting animals with it at 500 yards,,,surely y'all can perforate the ends and add a polymer tip to them to get a round that mushrooms at that distance ?

Nice. I believe the bullets shown at 2:57 are Hornady GMXs. Cheers.

I plan to try the 120gr BT in my .308 this season. I can load them to about 2400 fps and still get good expansion. Lead-free is the way to go if hunting for food.

Why don’t you show the bullet after impact, or give impact velocity? Are you hiding something?
@falba14923 жыл бұрын
@@tun0fun - Are you kidding me? Barnes are hard hitting, but everyone knows expansion depends 100% on velocity with monolithics. You’re very much limited to distance. I don’t like using this particular bullet below 2,600 ft./sec. With my load that’s just under 250 yards. After that expansion is not that good, and just pencils thru your game. So it’s always best to take a shoulder shot. It’s a great bullet, but it needs a lot of velocity for expansion. A 500 yard shot with this is ridiculous, it will not expand. Ok for shooting at steel, but not at game.
@falba14923 жыл бұрын
@@tun0fun - I use this 129 grain LRX on hogs. Nothing hits harder, it’s almost like the equivalent of using 150 grain Partition. But this is not a long range 500 yard bullet. I know they advertise 1600 ft/second for expansion, but that is extremely optimistic. Honestly, keep it under 250 yards. You’re at about 2600 ft./s, and that does cause the bullet to mushroom well. If you want to shoot 500 yards out of the 270 Win, use a ABLR. That’s a tough bullet, with a high BC, that will expand at 500 yards.
@falba14923 жыл бұрын
@@tun0fun - Honestly, 500 yards is really more than 99% of people should be hunting. I practice on a 500 yard range twice weekly, and you have to be dialed in exceeding well to be able to hit an 8” pie plate at that distance. Wounding an an amazing animal is a crime. But if I did take a shot like that, with copper that might not expand reliability, I’d do it with a larger caliber and bullet. I also use the 175 gr. LRX in my 300 H&H. Almost the same exact velocity at 500 yards, but 1830 ft-lbs energy compared to 1320 with the 270 Win. But if you don’t hit bone, I’m not sure of expansion.
@falba14923 жыл бұрын
@@tun0fun - I have no experience with the 9.3x62, but I can tell you the 375 H&H is going to get 2870 ft./s at the muzzle with a 250 grain TTSX. Haven’t tried the LRX yet. Your velocity is going to be about 2265 ft./sec. at 300 yards. With a 300 grain TSX, muzzle velocity is going to be slightly over 2600 ft./sec. But remember, there are horses for courses. Not everyone lives in California, and sometimes it’s better suited to use partitions or A-frames with these caliber. Also, these are not long distance flat shooting calibers.

I like the big exit holes of the TTSX. I live and hunt in Alaska, reload the 130 gr TTSX in .270 for Sitka blacktails, Dall sheep, black bear, caribou and the 180gr TTSX in 300 H & H for bull moose and grizzly bear. At $30 per box of 50, not a bad price...I've been shooting TTSX for over a decade.

Thanks for selling out to Cerberus, and dropping your quality control to dogshit. I had to pull apart, resize, and reload the last box of Barnes Vor-tx I bought...the bullets turned in the case neck and squeaked...no neck tension. Lost me as a loaded ammo customer.

Please fix the wobbly tip on the 338 LRX 280 gr. I understand it’s not the accuracy of the bullet but no one wants to play with a wobbly football. $10,000 rifle $9800 range finders shooting a wobbly tip bullet doesn’t make any sense. It’s a peace of mind. Please fix it instead of making excuses.

+ p loads that travel 1040 fps from g26 . . . No thanks ill stick with underwood.
@gunlover55643 жыл бұрын
Nobody cares. A glock 26 is a subcompact 9mm. The short barrel is going to take away velocity tremendously. 1040 fps is pretty fast for a short barreled firearm. At the end of the day if you drop one or 2 of these in a guys chest he’s going to have a bad day, the same as any other round. It’s not always about the fastest round. It doesn’t make a shit what you use if it’s so hot that it snaps your firearm everywhere.

Fantastic ammo, you should add 6.5x55 and 300 win mag in your euro line for us European hunters. Good job 👏 👍
@richardgomes90024 жыл бұрын
I use the weatherby 6.5 - 300 mag on black tail deer. Had one bullet at 330 yards with the deer quartering towards me go in the neck mostly missing bone, out the neck, in the shoulder breaking 2 ribs and coming to rest near the rear leg in the flank. Expanded ok, and retained about 85-90 percent weight, not many petals left, the broke off somewhere. It’s a factory weatherby load using the Barnes 127 grain bullet. 3531 FPS at muzzle.
