have a ls swapped fd, 650 hp aint cheap to get to. I'm 631 hp 577 left on the dyno. Stage 3 cam, racing beat exhaust, 102 mm throttle body connected to a plenum and CAI, ported and polished cylinder headers, mahle connecting rods, wiseco pistons, braided fuel lines and rail, dont remember the crankshaft bought it from summit racing though, wildwood brakes.

Glad to hear you are safe and doing better I’m sure you’ll make a great comeback!, In your opinion what is the best 1st gen Camaro subframe and suspension? Building my 67 and this is my last step and really want it to handle like a modern sports car

I'm pumped to see you're taking this back on. I can't imagine how much that hurt to be part of. If I wrecked my Supercharged 1970 Charger I'm building... I really don't know if I could mentally (or financially) be able to take this kind of work again!

movie magic is amazing, so while it looks like this process was done in 40 minutes it actually sounds like the journey to fix this car was multiple racing seasons. thank you for being so transparent on how long this stuff actually takes.

I appreciate your comment. It was almost exactly a year between the crash and the first shakedown autocross. And another couple of months until the front end got painted though I was able to race during that time. And technically it’s still not back 100% as I still haven’t put a grill in it lol! But yeah, movie magic is why watching videos of builds can be more satisfying than real life. Except when you complete a build in real life. That’s a great feeling!

Glad to see you fixed it! You just got to get back on the horse. Remember the only really bad mistake is not learning from past ones. You’re one hell of a driver, you just had a stroke of bad luck. Can’t wait to you beat the crap out of this thing again.

It must be an ego thing because even if I'm on a flier, if I see someone closing up fast, I go off line and point by. Takes next to no time to do, yes it ruins THAT lap but 99% chance since the car behind was faster it won't hold you up the next lap and if you are as fast as you think then the new car behind won't catch you i.e. free space.

Oh so much to unpack here. Love it when the Chubby kid with the beautiful Firebird told the younger maybe faster guy he should “Stay in his lane”. Is it normal that you can make such a huge driving error as that one ridiculously tight turn in a car that clearly was fighting you and still decimate the entire class by over a second? Seems like no one will ever be able to beat you in that Mustang…
