Appreciate this video a lot. The other ones I’ve found weren’t getting to the darn point. Works great I’m getting a slight fluctuation in decimals but nothing that would cause lights to flicker. I ended using the previous ignition wire which I believe is the blue coming out of that harness. Bolted the ext voltage reg on the alternator. We will see if it’s too much heat for it.

God bless this man!! I am having an IDENTICAL issue with my LS swap and for the ones wondering the part number info its acdelco 217-1588 just go to any parts store and tell them part number 217-1588 injector O rings bypass all the what year make or model. Just wanted to say thank you Gonzo's Garage your getting a mention in my up coming video! God bless brother!

I can get a good deal on an ls7 short block, I already have ls3 heads and complete intake. Would the heads bolt on and would I lose that much power in using those instead of ls7 heads and intake? Also would I need to worry about piston to valve clearance because of the different valve angle? Thanks

Update. I put them on and they fit perfect.. plenty of space in between them just like he said. Cheers 🍻 also I made or short of them installed if you wanted to see.

The block is gen 3 but pistons and rods are gen 4

No the wrist pin on stock gen 3 rods are press fit. gen4 rods with new brass bushings are fairly cheap on ebay.

There's actually two thermostats inside that thermostat housing. One is a low temp. T-Stat that's actually for the heater core. Haven't talked to anybody else who knows this.That's one of the things that should be considered when somebody's getting into this. Also, all the factory HOAT coolant needs to be flushed out. Its reacting with the aluminum from the engine causing sludge to build up in the heater core and restricting, or completely blocking coolant flow. Just use typical universal antifreeze. Just a suggestion.

Im having the same issue 2010 2.7l sebring. I just replaced the thermostat but still very little heat and coolant is coming out of the overflow while running. Is there a solution you can run through to remove the gunk and then flush and refill?

My 2012 chrsyler 200s. Heat had all tbese problem. And I have found the heat works the best on circulate. Cuz mine barely does any heat even after flush. Just make sure u turn the ac off when u hit the circulate button

UPDATE ! Chrysler 200 fix. Totally drain and flush the cooling system. DO NOT USE HOAT ANTIFREEZE AGAIN. EVER. The antifreeze is the problem. Switch to prestone OAT antifreeze and put a antifreeze coolant fliter inline with the heater hose going to the intake side of the heater core. This will fix this very common problem when Hoat antifreeze interacts negatively with cyclinder heads and or cooling system componets. Chrysler will not state this, but i will. Remember stay away from HOAT type antifreeze.

The stock truck manifolds flange don't stay tight to the engine. They angle out and would not fit on this application. So we went with these and they fit great

I need help!!!! My chrysler isnt making a clicking or knocking sounds, its actually hard to describe the sound that it is actually making. The noise is driving me nuts!!!!!! My heat is also not working. Single mom here with two boys, could someone help me out?!

Bought the JEGS sheet metal intake for ls1 and had 60lb injectors . It came with the JEGS fuel rails and once I put my injectors it leaked . Had no issues with the ls6 intake and Holley efi fuel rails . I found part 217-1588 gm O -Rings and also 217-1533?? Which should I get ? They both baby blue and brown O rings

Are those truck injectors I have problems with my brackets onto the fuel rail I don’t want to drill nd fabricate brackets would the spacers work

The spacers work but you’d also need different o rings because that’s why I’m on this video to start with, I’m leaking fuel from spacer tip to the fuel rail

What about a 91 w250 360 LA gas engine?.. key switch on gas can go off the ignition coil...I went the old way with older alternator not charging much ...wonder if I have to use the original alternator?.

I did a LS swap into a 78 Buick Regal. I am going to run a Procharger. It's street/strip. I'm researching headers now. I am thinking of shortys vs. long tube. The passengers side was the problem when I ran long tubes with a SBC in it. Concerned about the swap because I don't think any companies guarantee a fit. Would shortys loose allot of power with my procharger D1X? Curious about anyone's thoughts on this. Car been down for over 2 years and I want to get it up ASAP.

A test light or a multi meter. Key off= 0v (test light doest light up)... key on = 12v (test light lights up)

Went to oriellys and had the look up injector o rings for a 2000 ss camaro then picked the ones that are the blue o rings

Yes. I've been so busy with work I haven't been able to put out any videos. The truck is running and driving but need to get the heads off and to the machine shop. The guy I got the heads from didn't tell me they came off a motor that had been run hot... very hot. So the heads are warped 🤯

Had a voltage regulator installed. Should both wires be hot going into the voltage regulator? Or just one wire
