Is this with the stock injectors? Or aftermarket?

Great video I went and purchased the O-rings just wondering did you happen to use the stock retainer clips that are on the stock LS motor?
@GonzosGarage Жыл бұрын
No. Those things go in the trash every time. I hate those things

Are those truck injectors I have problems with my brackets onto the fuel rail I don’t want to drill nd fabricate brackets would the spacers work
@ramonochoa52628 ай бұрын
The spacers work but you’d also need different o rings because that’s why I’m on this video to start with, I’m leaking fuel from spacer tip to the fuel rail

So far, the only place I found the bigger O ring is from Rock Auto. Victor Reinz 181003101 Inside dia = .291", outside dia = .585", thickness = .148" It's not clear if these are Viton rubber. Local parts stores only carry Felpro which isn't big enough.

Do you have a part number for the orings you used or dimensions of the diameters?

Bought the JEGS sheet metal intake for ls1 and had 60lb injectors . It came with the JEGS fuel rails and once I put my injectors it leaked . Had no issues with the ls6 intake and Holley efi fuel rails . I found part 217-1588 gm O -Rings and also 217-1533?? Which should I get ? They both baby blue and brown O rings

O-rings have a p/n such as 2-N374 etc. ..what was the p/n of those you used ??
@angelobyrd80103 жыл бұрын
Okay that's what you did I didn't have the money to go buy new ones new o-rings but what I did was took old o-rings and stuck them up in the top of the fuel rail to give it that extra like quarter of an inch or whatever and that stopped the leak is that a good idea or am I f****** up
@GonzosGarage3 жыл бұрын
Well it's not the proper way to fix it but if it works... it works. The only question now is it gonna last and is it putting to much pressure vertically on the injector body. The injector isn't suppose to have vertical pressure on the injector body because it can cause the injector to fail. The injector should rotate left and right freely when installed to insure the injector body isn't being crushed
@jralvarez79 Жыл бұрын
You know the part# on the o-rings you used? Thanks
@angelobyrd80103 жыл бұрын
Okay so maybe it's not a good idea but only reason now I'm saying that is because I started the car up and it began to shutter misfire and cut off immediately and I'm wondering if that o ring that extra o ring could be causing the fuel not to get to the injector efficiently
@GonzosGarage3 жыл бұрын
At that point the extra o ring most likely is smashing inward and restricting fuel flow.

Did u upgrade injectors to a larger or smaller injector? If so the tune is probably off and needs to be retuned

Where did you get the o ring from need help
@GonzosGarage Жыл бұрын
Went to oriellys and had the look up injector o rings for a 2000 ss camaro then picked the ones that are the blue o rings

Are those factory LS injectors ?
@GonzosGarage2 жыл бұрын
Yes
@armedgunman012 жыл бұрын
Not all gm injector orings are the same they very in size slightly, most people don't know that, you just had bad luck and had the wrong size to start with
@GonzosGarage2 жыл бұрын
I agree. And every time I get some of these cheap fuel rails showing up on someone's new build that leak... the blue ones from the local parts store never fail me. So it's gotten to the point I start with those if I'm upgrading rails and injectors on something.
