You mention not knowing of other games that use Smash Bros. style of “doing enough damage to a character to launch them off screen”, MultiVersus is one game that does do this. I think the Nickelodeon All Stars Brawl games also do this for their battles, but I haven’t played that one to verify for myself.

I don't think horizon sells as well as Ryan thinks it does. It was a pack in game for a long while, those numbers are inflated af.

The short answer with the internet. We want studios to put out three games in one generation. We also want things built from scratch so that we can feel secure in our box of choice. People want games that could never be done on other systems, and they want multiple games from one studio every two years. This is not happening.

While I believe the GaSS push was a bad one, I'm glad that it seems like they are starting to realize this isn't gonna work out, and after seeing phantom blade 0 I'm sure this year is gonna be a good year live previous ones, especially with GoY and Intergalactic maybe end of this year but more then likely 2026, should be fine. Tho I wish this was done sooner 😅

Ryan forgets that a huge reason why horizon 1 sold a lot is cuz it was bundled with a lot of PS4’s and then horizon 2 obviously did worse cuz horizon isn’t as loved as the sales number say, look at games like Kinect sports and Wii sports that came bundled in. No one is begging for sequels of them‬

Jon, your in the minority buddy. People do care about horizon. Perhaps maybe not as much for Aloy. But the IP itself is very good. Get used to seeing more or just stfu about it.🙄

14:24 that makes a lot of sense. Since the leaked hardware of the switch 2 puts it at the same level as the old PS4. It opens up the opportunity for Sony to ship some of their older flag ship titles.

The value of each trophy as in the number of points it adds to your overall PSN score should have a component to it that is based on the rarity of the trophy when you earned it. So if the platinum trophy of a junk game is owned by lots of people then it should be worthless with respects to the total PSN score.

I think he’s just acknowledging that people criticize it in bad faith alot of the time. And also i think he wants to basically acknowledge too that people who think that the series is not “popular” or “impactful” are just flat out wrong. Its a popular and liked series by alot of people. He has said that he understands people have real critiques outside of the bad faith arguments though . Two things can be true.
