The future I see is handheld hybrid consoles from all 3 companies and storefront/launcher from each that can be played with cross progression/purchases across said consoles and PC/Mobile. Sony should keep releasing their games on Steam/Epic, eventually launch their own launcher, release games day and date there the Steam/Epic later, give Steam/Epic players the OPTION to create and sign into a PS account and THEN after you’ve garnered a good PC audience, just keep your first party and 2nd/3rd part deals game exclusive to your storefront

If we don't get a proper MGS4 port for Master Collection volume 2, then the whole thing was a waste. We managed to get remasters of God of War 3, the Uncharted trilogy, & the Quantic Dream games Heavy Rain & Beyond Two Souls, so I'm not convinced it's impossible to see these games ported, guess we'll see.

Why are you always theorizing about PS3 emulation on PS5 or even PS6? In my opinion the most economically sound approach is for Sony to make a PS3 emulator for PC, run that thing on their servers and stream the games to the consumers. It is a simple, efficient and future proof change on their backend and the users won't feel a difference, save for some performance improvements here and there.
