If I have to chose then I will never go for a bike that has so much electronics in it. Personally, i like to be in controle of any machine I am using, not some damn electronics. It is personal !!

Chain's blow chunks. Shaft drive is definitely the way to go, from someone who has both. It's worth any loss in power in exchange for never having to grease a chain, never having to change a chain, or change a sprocket. Chain and sprokets wear out and replacement kits cost money. And the mess, always the mess. The good: it's pretty, the engine is overbuilt, low seat height, the shaft drive, and it's low cost. The bad: feet pegs too far forward, key dangling off side, lots of chrome to polish (on other models), no 5th gear light, heavy, no blinker turn signal sound, no frills at all anywhere other than safety kill switches... bog standard universal japanese motorcycle. You don't want a sport bike, you can't haul anything on a sport bike, so this is a better buy but it's pretty spartan riding experience.

I have a 23 plate SE. Absolutely awesome machine, bought it new (pre-registered) for about £6k off retail. I had to add 1/2 inch risers though to make it a little more comfortable as wrists were hurting, more than the gixxer 750 I had prior. This sits in a weird category for most, tourers would get something more comfortable and sport riders would get something lighter and better in the corners.. For me though, there isn't a better bike.

The reason it didn't sell so well, "Too many things to go wrong with it" Too many sensors that can go out. Too many ecu's, doing too many different things. Let's bring the price down, and just have the amenities we need. "How about that"??? You're way too young to remember the turbo wars.... Every manufacturer produced One. Even before that in 1978, Kawasaki offered a turbo, 1000 Z-1R-T AMERICAN TURBO PACK ON THE WEST COAST. ORIENT EXPRESS ON THE EAST. THE BITES COLOR SCHEME GAVE IT AWAY. LOCATED RIGHT WHERE THE SUPERCHARGER IS. Just saying.......👣👍🇱🇷

I have this same bike in the all black, and for the the last 20+ years I’ve had 5 CBR models. It’s a cool change, I really like this bike! I’m curious now about the possibility when you mentioned adding the quick shift down by flashing the ecu 🤔. I also have a 2024 ZX-10R, but I’m so used to just manually shifting up and down anyways, I wonder if it’ll be worth it. Great video!

1. Expensive ( Who knew just a supercharger some lights and a single sided swing arm cost 16K) smh. The NEW ninja 1100sx $13,700 2. Ugly ( So damn busy looking someone on the design team worked on the Transformers films for sure, what am I looking at?...smh. Kawi put a Bazooka in front of the exposed rear wheel can't even see it.) 29k+ and immediately have to spend more on a descent looking exhaust. 3. Gimmicky (those cornering lights horrible) 4. Why no damn electric wind screen? C14 has one is this supposed to replace the C14? If not Kawi hurry up we need a new C14 asap with a supercharger.

So we got the learner bike that a teen could safely ride and learn on. The everyday bike that can easily be used in city or backroads and its lack of technology makes it easy to maintain, and the convenient one with plenty of power and technology that could easily keep up with the highway

I'm 51 yrs old, so coming from a long line/time of 2 wheels in my life, I found alot of old Jap bikes abandoned, bought for cheap, fixed and enjoyed, sold and repeat , over the yrs.... I came onto HD say 6 yrs ago, 92 softail custom, I enjoyed, but, wasn't in my line of riding, Sold and acquired a 02 Electra glide classic , which the previous owner had pretty much rode the life out of, but I got to enjoy its amenities. It was tired and was going to need some serious work if I wanted it to be reliable. I found a 06 Stratoliner midnite and fell in love, I could have skipped the HD trip, but alas,, need that trip to find it. somewhere along that path, a 08 Shadow Aero made its way into the stable. what can I say? its a Honda. with little care and a understanding of CV carbs... Its fun, puts smiles per mile of experience on the face. I'm not a HD hater, I just don't have the room nor the time to become a HD tech. Jap bikes from the past were just made, Better? The Honda shadow was ment to be simplistic, the basics, get on and ride, no fus, no mus. reliable. even though some of the bikes i have owned in the past had more power or maybe even more flashy to the eye, the Honda Shadow can be your best friend when needed to just get on and go for a ride. I mean, after all, Its a Honda.

Jesus they really missed the mark. WE WANT RACE REPLICAS!!!! MotoE road racing bikes have 120 KW of power on tap (160 hp), 200Nm of torque, 0-100 in 3 seconds, top speed of 270kph, and can charge to 85% in about 20 minutes. if we could get even ONE QUARTER of that performance it would be a fun bike... This is a child's toy, not a motorcycle.

I threw a leg over one of these and fell in love with it. I might need to trade in the Pan Am I bought last month. But in 6’3” and 270 lbs. so I went with the “big guy, big displacement, big bike,” thinking.

As a H2 SE SX buyer, I can tell you @ 1:52 what the answer is...... It is the price, and the depreciation in the first years. You can buy an immaculate used example, 2 to 4 years old for literally half the cost of a new one.

The insurance! I just bought a concours instead but I thought about buying one of these! Ran the VIN for progressive insurance! You know how much they quoted the H2 SX SE I was looking to buy???? $650 a MONTH! Forget it!!!! I couldn’t afford that! I really wanted that bike too! 😢 But instead I got a 2021 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS 11K miles with Akrapovic exhaust, and just got the ecu flashed by Ivan. Not nearly the HP but I think I’ll get a lot more years out of this 1

Honda is great, as is all the big 4 of Japan. As for trying to look like a Harley, I don't like that. Remember the Suzuki Intruder 800 or 1400? That was a real Jap cruiser, not bikes trying to be a Harley, like my 2003 Shadow Spirit. Harley is cool too, just different strokes for different folks. I have a Harley tattoo, and have owned a few, but I prefer my XR650L super moto, Shadow Spirit 750, Zuma 50, Zuma 125, KX 125, Gas Gas 300 trials, etc., just because I like to ride for fun, not just cruise around on an 800-pound bike looking cool. There is no reason for a cruiser of any kind to be more than 1000cc. If you need more than 1000cc to make power, then you need a more efficient or better designed engine. I am just rambling now........Later

Looking at the newest 1100sx this bike is nowhere near worth double the price . People pay that price for the whole supercharger novelty. In this economy most don't have a unlimited incomes for toys and are looking for value for money. That's why these super high priced bikes aren't selling well.

The BEST OF BOTH WORLDS WITH that E-Clutch mechanism. Riders, that are either beginner, intermediate or experienced pro's can use this bike just how they're used to driving one. You can clutch it or NOT clutch it, and just enjoy the ride. What more could you ask for? This is a god send and game changer. So many new riders won't be so hesitant to start riding a motorcycle. I do wish that they offered OTHER COLORS. I'd like one in all black, or blue, or white or yellow-ish/green.
