Man Long Live the 406 sbc.Tons of power and torque for the street.These little motors still kicken ass left and right N/A 😂😂😂.My friends keep putting these LS engines swaps and I keep kicking their ass for 30 years with this same motor 😅😅.I did have to keep up with the upgrades over the years.AFR heads 195 heads,Roller cam,11-1 compression.91 pump gas with a nice timing curve and good tune.2 bolt main even.Glad your getting it together.Doesn’t take much to get those motors moving.Pull like freight trains.

Been watching your channel since October. I had a '63 SS in high school. Couldn't find a decent one locally and the '64 popped up at a great price. I'm going to make it look like a '63. It's got a 350/700R4 wit a Ford 8.8 373 posi. Also a CCP mini clip and power steering with power disc brakes front and rear. It's a work in progress.

@@stephenscroggs1230 what’s up Colorado!!! We have some friends in Peyton! We are supposed to get up there and visit. I’ve always stuck with the breathers on everything. It just doesn’t make sense to me to allow unmetered air full of oil down your intake manifold…..🤷♂️…. Why would anybody do that? Now if you’re building big power. An evacuation system would be best. Suck out the positive crankcase pressure. Out the exhaust system or to a catch can….. 🤷♂️…. Just my opinions I guess.

Nice job on the "rebuild". Your comment on inspiring the younger generation is spot on. I'm 70 and depend on KZbin guys like you and a great circle of friends to help with my projects. Been wrenching since I was a little kid helping my dad. I still run into issues that I need help. Mostly I need motivation to go out in the cold shop and do something to check off the list. Current project is a '64 Nova 400 coupe. Love your channel. Keep doing what you're doing.

Is the original oil pump in it? Was it stock or HV/HP? Was it 5/8 pick up or 3/4? Im asking because I'm conducting an experiment (per say) on sbc oil pumps. Thank you, sounds good, great video.

@@Hillbillygarage1215 thanks for watching and commenting. To me it looked like a melling. High volume. (55 part number). I believe. I didn’t replace it. It looked new. I made sure to prime the engine with my drill to make sure the oil pressure was good. Showed it in the last two videos. I believe it was the 3/4 pickup tube. You might be able to see it in the other videos. I hope that helps. Let me know! Thanks again!!!

@tackettshoh I think it is probably HV because 70+ psi is a bit steep for a plain Jane stock oil pump, unless you shimmed the pressure bypass spring.

Nice job on the 350! It is hard building cars out side in January but as you say "The show must go on" Might need to get warmer weather to clean the truck engine bay, are you going to give it a little rattle can clean up?

@tackettshoh I wish I could find me a good small base circle retrofit roller cam and lifters for my build that I am trying to get together the new cam and lifters has went totally out of my budget I want to get my engine together so bad but the only way I will even come close is to find a used one for it I've been scrounging for 4 years now to get it together maybe one day I can get it done and get to enjoy the horse power under my but again I miss that so much buddy it's more addictive than any drug you can take

I love the 64 camery, my first car was a 283 powerglide 64 malibu SS camery back in 1976. Excellent bust off on that 350 Get that 30's street rod and a 49 merc for sara's cruiser. Keep the dream alive y'all. I feel for all those in california, what a sad deal.
