Thank you so much for this video! I have been trying different recipes of sourdough bread but understanding the percentages and how each ingredient works with one another really gives you more freedom to experiment 🧡🍞🥖

THANK YOU so much for this video! I’ve been really into making bread recently, but I’m a total novice. I started with beer bread because it required no proofing or kneading lol. Would you ever consider doing more content about your bakery? I’ve been a longtime follower and was so thrilled when you opened one!

Great video! I think sometimes we get too stressed about following a recipe exactly step by step, when the most important part about baking bread is the intuition and knowing the process :)
@brookedarwin
@brookedarwin 5 күн бұрын
Absolutely! Especially with bread, you need to tune into that intuition and pay attention to those visual and tactile clues. Thanks for the input:)

I know what you mean by saying you should be doing something! Else! Tiny house building or doll house, making! Is a addiction!!! At least it is for me! Too me there's no better feeling! Or satisfaction then sitting back and saying! I made, that! Or did that! Lol. It also, is a source of therapy! Where, you can escape the real! World! And, let Fanasty be a real friend! The biggest, problem for me is all the decision making you have to do! And try to control the time you spend on what item or project some how I just find myself so consumed I just, keep adding and adding! As if I have no control of stopping! Lol. To I add formers, curtains! Bla,bla,

1. Don’t over boil your eggs. 11 minutes tops then straight into an ice bath. I like to leave the yolks slightly jammy for a much richer flavor and creamy texture. Over boiled eggs will result in dry, rubbery yolks. 2. Add some acid. I like to put a splash of dill pickle juice along with whole grain mustard but you can also use pickled peppers for a bit of a kick. 3. TEXTURE. It’s a big thing for me personally. Deviled eggs are so soft, garnishing with something crunch before serving brings balance. I’m using fried onions here.

@brookedarwin
@brookedarwin 17 күн бұрын
@@peregrinearcit’s actually so easy! After you boil it, you just spread it out on a sheet pan with some olive oil and bake at 350F for about 20 minutes stirring occasionally. It’ll get nice and crunchy. But you could also use wonton strips, crunchy noodles or toast some panko bread crumbs!

@@brookedarwin thanks again--I ended up making a version of this with most of the ingredients as a foundation. It was really tasty! :-) Do you regularly keep toasted quinoa, pickled red onions and other items in your pantry and do you diy them? A video on your pantry/diy staples might be really neat to see. Take care and happy cooking! :-)
