A Clochard in french is a homeless person. The word comes from the medival times. Back then, cities had walls around them to protect them from intruders. At night fall, the bells (cloches) would be rung to signal that the gates are going to be closed. So a clochard was someone who didn't hear the bells in time and had to sleep outside the city.

I wonder why the host got this job - he isnt very good. Is he part of the public school old boys club...This would explain why we have not got someone that is good.

I'm surprised there weren't more pointless East 17 answers, given there were some (I thought) well-known top ten singles listed and not some more obscure ones. Also not sure if they would have counted the two when they were called "E-17" or not.

I was surprised how difficult the football club question was to the candidates. I hardly know a thing about football, but some of the clubs had the capital's name right there - easy to deduct the country from that.

Not sure Richard’s description of californium is accurate. Pretty sure it was first created (not discovered) in a laboratory at Berkeley (berkelium) by Dr. Lawrence (lawrencium). Lawrence also happened to be an undergraduate student from the University of South Dakota when he started his science training.
