Sorry I missed the live event. I didn't see it was on until you uploaded this. Always a day late and dollar and half short.

You should pain the insides that olive gree colour used on the insides of aircraft. then if the outside is white or silver it would look like a P51.

I think the car at 5.39 is a Porsche 914.

You can weld stainless steel with your MiG welder. That’s how I welded mine. I have the same long tube headers on my 67. Of course I’m not running the GT40 heads. I’m running E7 heads with 1.94 and 1.60 valves that are heavily ported. Car runs in the 12’s in the quarter mile

Great work and craftsmanship. But you have to 86 that cheap Japanese imported steering wheel. Go with an original repo, or the type used in Shelby's

This so reminds me of my high school years. I bought a 1965 mustang (1964) 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual in 1977. It ate clutches, so I had to put one in every year or two. Family mechanic wouldn't work on it and would guide me as how to fix it (I secretly wished he was my dad), along with a friend of mine who was older...17. Apparently, the driveshaft was from a V-8. But I owned that car for 18 years. It never saw a professional mechanic, but I somehow kept it running. Always was able to do basic work on my cars until 2005 when I bought my 1st Porsche. Haven't done jack shite since.

My first pony was a 66 6cyl also!!

Run a bead of weld on the inside of the bearing race and it will slip out easy. The heat from the welding will shrink the race enough so it will loosen up.

FYI: On future builds, put sealant on the inside of bolt holes. Putting on the out side means oil can potentially wick its way up the treads and leave a light oil film around the bolt head/hole. Not a big deal when it’s your own stuff, but just for future reference.

The only tiny piece of advice I can offer is get yourself a stainless steel bench that you can easily clean and maintain it so you can use as it as a rebuild station. Storing your parts on that dirty dusty cloth covered table gave me anxiety. You don't want anything getting into your newly rebuilt transmission.
@rookie__pilotКүн бұрын
You are 1000X correct! The table was a hand me down so the under that cloth is twice as bad, maybe a stainless slab on top?
