sorry to correct you but, the engine will still put power into the water pump as the alternator will need to take more power out of the engine as the battery is drained more to power the water pump. It is just that the transfer of energy will be more efficient

Better that you didn't end up using the high volume pump....they have a tendency to suck the pan dry and fill the heads with oil thereby making mucho smoko. Don't ask how I know.

manuacturing the engine stand it must be a weight stability issue too i would never use a ratchet gun on any engine assembly

Got the same issue with the oil pan. 96 Explorer block and Mustang double-hump pan. I thought my pump was not the HO pump. Maybe it is.
