Total bull crap. Uber is banned in Turkey because the taxi drivers took them to court for interfering with their business. But, the taxi drivers are using the uber app and charging meter rates. Maybe uber should take the taxi drivers to court.

Hello! I am going to visit Istanbul in April 25th 2025. My first two days will be in zeytinburnu due to some work. Can someone guide me how to reach zeytinburnu from Aksaray Havaist stop? So that I can book my accommodation accordingly. Later one after two days I am planning to stay in sultanahmet or karakoy to tour the tourist attractions. Kindly someone guide me for zeytinburnu.

I don’t know who to believe , your reason for not staying in Taxim makes no sense oh don’t stay here cause it’s laud but there is many shop and tourist things to do . I don’t know who to believe cause all the videos & forums & agency’s I talk to tell me to stay here in Sultamamet , Taxim or beyoglu . Can you please recommend a place I can stay for 8 nights west I don’t walk too much & there are plenty of land marks & tuirist things to do

Finally I watched a perfect video to understand and to decide where to stay. Yes, for younger people and I remember those days when I was young is possible to do the Sultanahmed in a day. Now I will need two days maybe 3 days especially having knee problems. I was focusing in Taksim area too but change my mind for Galata. I would like 3 nights in Sultanahmed and 3 nights Galata. You need to be cautious with Uber taxis as well because Uber shows you a range between which the fare would come out to be and not an exact amount. It is upto the driver to decide what to charge. I was in Istanbul last week and noticed this. The uber app was showing around 180-220 TRY but the ride costed me 389 TRY.
