Been in Istanbul twice and often got ripped off by Uber drivers giving excuses for not wanting to use the meter , instead overcharge! Be careful! In Izmir I never had these problems, very honest drivers there!

When you accept to cancel the Uber ride and pay in cash, you are losing the rider insurance and coverage in case of any incident or accident. You lose the right to complain to Uber as well. I'd never accept to cancel an App ride. It's a bad recommendation. The rest of the video was awesome, anyways!

It works great. In busy tourist area when there’s traffic it may be difficult to find a ride but apart from that I’ve never had problems

@@user4name I used Uber last week, it works. Don’t use marti, if the police stop you they will give you a fine

A couple of years ago I had a really tough time using both Uber and bitaxi. Uber drivers would cancel after asking on a text message where I wanted to go even though I had already entered my destination and it would always be a touristy place not some far flung area. With bitaxi I couldn’t get anything at all. No response. Has it improved since then ?

It’s improved a lot, but getting an uber in a tourist area may be quite hard. Drivers don’t want to get stuck in traffic there

Turquoise taxis have better seats and stitching. They are definitely not the same as Yellow ones.

Stop using taxis. Use public transportation instead, it is not difficult to understand. Taxi drivers will scam you. Be careful and enjoy Istanbul :)
