This game is bad ,(I have an 80 Plus win in all modes from pro am to park to rec etc.) my biggest issues are 1.The dunk meter, I have a 93 driving dunk and gold posterizer and I get canceled out of animations with no foul call ever. The dunk meter doesn’t have a green window. Sometimes you drive and it doesn’t even trigger. 2. The contest system sucks. You can jump towards the correct hand and still get light pressure , with appropriate attributes, there’s times people don’t jump at all yet getting tights but Mike said jump so it’s like really iffy and weird 3. Shooting feels flukey, my green window SHOULDN’T MOVE. If green the shot let me green it. Some games 2k have me feeling crazy like I don’t know my shot and I know for sure that I do. One game 6-7 , next game 1-6 ,move seen people with 99 3ball go 4-12 4. These screens are the worst, it’s like 2k don’t know what a moving screen is , the vacuum screens are atrocious, you can be trying to avoid the screen and still get caught in the screen 5. RPP shouldn’t be in proving grounds , pro am , or rec why in a comp scene do we have RPP period? But have to time everything else 6. The court size is still way to small . You can be in the paint already going up and the center can legit drop from the corner (running 5 out) and they get a crazy block or contest like how? When I’m already at the basket ? 7. Interior defense is still bad, my big jumps on time? Light pressure, hand can be on the ball , open. Making tight covered layups with RPP , make people time stuff again. It’s ridiculous! 8. Spamming square or x all game long, every possession bruh with no penalty. People just sit in the lane every possession spamming and spamming and spamming, and it’s like 2k rewards bad defense , the people who play solid defense don’t get rewarded but you reward people spamming all day . We pay all this money and can’t even get a decent game, 100$ a build , plus animations , plus boost , plus clothes and shoes , like come on 2k

People have to understand 2 things. 1. 2k WANTS cheaters to have fun which is why they won’t fix it. Cheaters have money since they can afford cheats and so they’ll pay 2k more for more builds 2. The rng makes casuals that don’t watch KZbin (most players) think their build is the problem and not the game so they’ll make more builds with higher individual attributes. 2k is psychologically messing with people to trick them to spend more money. I can't say I love anything. My biggest complaint with the game is how much rep per game "win" you get. Its trash. A win should at least get you 3-5%. At lower levels it should get more. I'm on the 2nd tier trying to get my 1st set of ca0 breakers and it is taking forever. It should never take 2 months to get past a rep tier. Problems with the game: -Steals from rebounds -RP% (we got rid of that the last two years and it worked well, why is it back?) -i liked the way layups were last year, yes they were OP but this year they are so random and inconsistent. -catch and shoot animations! Why is it smooth sometimes and then a slight delay. So frustrating when you have a shot -momentum: i find if two-three things go wrong in the game in a row its almost impossible to dig yourself out of the hole as a team. -That ghost block/flop. I have lost two to three games to a last possession like that. Disgusting -i honestly only play to have a laugh now cause there is so much out of your control when you lose.

I actually enjoyed 2k24 gameplay wise, my favorite was dunking and layups. I’d go for a contact dunk over an open 3, if was just that fun. I feel if they had the rep system of 25 (and rhythm shooting tbh I enjoy it) and the mycareer key games of 25 and added that to 24, I’d be playing 24 until they kicked me off. I rarely had issues like I have on 25. One big issue on 25 is the B button after a loss will count as you leave the lobby. I was never banned on 24, I’ve been banned on 25 about 4 times now in season 2. There’s so many glitches and bugs in 25, it’s crazy. I really noticed the hot fix the other night. I ran trying to put my hands up but the game wouldn’t let me, and I got a yellow contest. That stood out to me. I also noticed I was getting a lot more ghost contest (yellows) on the 3 with the defender barely closing out.

50/50 balls have always favored in the offense favor in previous 2K's. I think its more prevalent in this game because people are using a higher offensive board vs defensive board. guards included. previous 2K guards would have 60 d board and 25 o board. This year its crazy cheap to get 60 o-board and 45 d board depending on your perimeter d stats. i remember years ago this same argument was made and gamers were linking it to the physics of the ball hitting the rim... aka long boards. my biggest issue right now gameplay wise is the shot contest system in general. You shouldn't have to jump for every shot contest. If i have the length(pause) and playing close enough in front of the shooter with hand up that should be a contest.

Like I’m a guard with a 94 3 ball and I can get about 5 or so shooting badges. I appreciate that my 6’6 player with a 7’2 wingspan and 82 interior (78 block, 85 steal, 85 perimeter) can actually get stops on 7 footers in the paint. I feel like smaller players can finally play defense in the paint as long as you have the stats and ability. I understand that interior defense has a lot of issues as a whole but previous years a 7 foot could just sit there and get a bucket 90% of the time. But yes, the game is shit.

This is the first 2k I’ve actually grinded out since 2k21. I’ve had a great time tbh especially in the beginning of the year, it felt like I had to re-learn how to shoot, dribble and just 2k as a whole. Before the first big patch, my myplayer felt amazing, good stick dunks, fluid dribbling, shooting felt somewhat consistent; then boom the patch hits and I get drawn out of stick dunking animations constantly, shooting feels like it changes by the day. One day I’m shooting 60+% and then the next I couldn’t hit water if I fell out of a boat. This game is by far the most inconsistent I’ve played especially compared to 2k19-21. I’m still having fun but it’s mostly bc I’m playing with homies, if I was playing by myself, I would’ve stopped playing a month ago.

Yo Plug, please stop talking about this so-called skill gap in the game. They have to make the game accessible for us casual players to be successful. Even against the "comp" part of the community. I don't care how much they play the game, it should play the same for everyone. To be honest, maybe they just did a better job at eliminating the exploits this year. So "comp" players are just regular players this year.

it is a problem, you'll catch a board, not press anything and your dude will start dribbling like an idiot, instead of staying in triple threat mode.. this happens a lot, results in ppl stealing the ball from you. Been getting it a lot this year, i don't have any unpluckable badge though. tight contested and nobody even close to you? yep, seen that. Very frustrating.

I wish there was something we could do. Unfortunately, we love basketball. We are going to buy whatever crap game comes out in 26 and pay $100 a build again. There is no other game to buy or other option other than stop playing. It's sad we just have to sit here and allow them to drop a bugged-out game every year and charge us whatever they want.
