Yogurt and granola are a perfect pairing! This recipe looks like the best & simplest I have seen. Have you ever tried almond extract instead of vanilla? I love to try different extracts and it sounds like another good pairing with this. I'm with you on dried cranberries, I always have them on hand. They are my Angel's favorite so I include them in all her dog treats. 😊🐶🐾 Thank you Steph, you always bring us such good recipes!

My friend's grandfather made the best cornbread i have ever had. I miss it too. When he made it he used a whole stick of butter. It makes a difference in flavor and makes it richer.

We make a tomatoe onion and chunks of mozzarella. That’s a staple in the Midwest. Yummy. My mouth is watering but I’m gonna try your version.

This so awesome thanks for sharing. Didn’t know I didn’t have to shock boil. I freeze my cherry tomatoes whole too and freeze. So good in soups stews. Noodle dishes. Casseroles. I love the harvest season in Wisconsin. Just so short!

Thanks for the idea of freezing. I agree with group. I use vinegar and water to wash. It’s just me. You do you. I never thought of freezing. But up I will now

Ye next time clean with baking soda or vinegar! I used to do the Sam thing during Covid… but I use dawn on my rescue kittens and it kills a flea on contact. you think about this it is not safe to use

Have you tried pickled Vidalia onions? Sooo good on salads, sandwiches and just on your plate with anything. Mt Olive makes them and I have seen a recipe for homemade on pinterest.

I would encourage vinegar and water also. I am not a scientist but maybe check with your state university extension office food specialist to be sure. There may be changes to the safe preparation and preservation of your harvest. Remember to compost the ends you cut off. Your heart is in the right place.

I always wondered what the difference was between Blueplate mayo and Duke's mayo! So it sounds kind of like Hellman's mayo. It is very thick and eggy.

My husband's granny would make him scrambled egg and sliced tomato sandwiches with Duke's mayo on untoasted bread, salt and pepper. It is so good, and a comfort food for him. ♥️

Help! I tried this twice and it just wouldn’t set. I followed the instructions precisely and just had a runny mess. I used a stick blender and a mixing cup like yours and ran it till I thought it was going to over heat.
@stephsstovebystephaniethom72494 күн бұрын
If your mayo is broken and will not setup it could be that the oil did not emulsify properly. You can try to fix this by adding an additional egg yolk and whisk again. Also, adding a little mustard and mixing may help. When adding the oil, it must be added slowly and should only take a couple of minutes to come together. I’m a little concerned that your mixer got hot that quickly. 🤔 If yours has settings, be sure it’s in high. I hope this helps and encourage you to try again. Thanks for watching and your comment. Have a blessed day! 😊

This would be even better if you added cherry, blueberry or strawberry pie filling in the center of the rolls and then top with the cream cheese mixture

Just don't use "old fashioned" oats (steel cut oats). Use the "quick oats" like Mrs. Steph said. But it is a old fashioned recipe. 😀
