My advice is it's a bit like a pond get the biggest greenhouse you can afford you will use it, and if you get a smaller one you'll regret it 😊

Hi , whilst watching the video & you mentioned about a budlea being invasive and concerned about ruining the view. Just a thought but you can shape it & what about raising the canopy This would expose the trunk & you could underplant it. It would take a little while to get established but I’m sure would look nice . I just thought no harm in trying 😊anything to suit your own garden . I had operation with toric EDOF lens 6 days ago and I cannot see letters, I cannot read at any distance. There is occasional fog coming from drops but it’s all clear I just see distorted letters but see some items at the distance and for some reason when I come outside some different air comes and I can read the number plates of cars on the other side of road but when I go inside I cannot see any letter and cannot read far and intermediate. I’m seeing doc tomorrow. Really frustrating.

I love the sound of the seagulls❤❤❤ your garden looks great. Put crushed eggshells or seashells around your plants for the slugs.

I do love that you whisperd, 'it's a cucumber flower' I too live in a nosiy place, and we had a right racket the other day with the sea gulls as well! There's always someone with a generator going, or a drill or a hammer and it can go on for hours! Love all the plants you got and lovely that you managed to get so much planted, and that garden centre is lovely, i'd go in and never come back out! Thank you for this weeks vlog, I needed cheering up and to calm down and I feel quite chilled now! Have a good week x

Hi Karen. It's winter here in New Zealand & the slugs here are even eating my winter lettuce. If not them the birds get the seedlings. Your garden is looking Great. Maybe you could do a sponsored glass house they would get great advertising! All the best.

Do you use any organic pest remover, if so in the states we use Slugio works like a charm, $20 every 4 weeks, It last 8 weeks for my size garden

Prune the buddleja if you don’t want it to grow too big. I saw one of your vlogs from years ago and you confessed you hated gardening, oh how things have changed 😂😂😂

I tried garlic spray this year for slugs and it really has put them off. You blitz five cloves in a blender and mix with water. Strain it into a spray bottle. It doesn't leave a smell or taste once dried.

Ooh and slugs apparently hate crawling over egg shells.

Hi Karen, I know here in the US we have Buddleja varieties that are noninvasive and stay small. I don’t know if those would be available where you are. Maybe something to check into. 😊❤

Your verbena is glorious. Good to see the plants in the greenhouse getting in the dirt! butterfly bush in a pot?🦋 Pots set on dirt will start rooting into the dirt below and have a better chance of surviving with an extended root system. I’d consider digging and potting the plants where construction is going to go on. They will have a chance to settle in before the winter. So many pretty things growing.

I've been putting porridge oates around my plants, the slugs eat that and leave the plants alone, so far it's been working.

Have you thought about a leanto greenhouse against the back wall? Nice wide one, french doors you can throw open when entertaining. I'm also greenhouse shopping but my garden is tiny compared to yours. I will make it work!!

Hopefully your slugs find something else to eat. 😅 I did plant some new salads - guess what. They made it two days. 🙄 The slugs even ate the arugula. They never did that before. Don´t know what to think or do. Hugs from Germany

As I have learned…if they go away it is an opportunity to plant something else….I am 71 and have had flower garden mysteries (hate to call them mistakes) since I started. My first garden was tulips looking (sadly) like little red soldiers in uniform rows…Since then I have learned and have loved the experience. Good for happiness, soul and heart…make a “mistake” oh well another opportunity !
