That Ratt album art i've seen on quite a few different releases, obviously a very popular piece! Great stuff mate, most of these were completely new on me. I’m almost 48. Love death metal. Been listening to a lot of Fit for an Autopsy Kublai Khan TX Dying Fetus and from my hometown 200 Stab Wounds check em out they have a new album that’s great.

Interesting to see your take on grails, love the stories behind them as well. Every record has a story right? I can tell you one thing, Symbolic is my least favorite Death album. Blasphemy, right? Haha. But I can still objectively say the original is a big grail, the very limited quantity versus the demand is a big point. That and that it's most peoples favorite Death album. Late response, I know, haha.

Modern black metal in its many forms is not my thing but a couple here sound very interesting especially the folk black metal band you showed. I don’t think that I’ll be converted any time soon but you never know 😝

Good response there Sean. Yeah that Saxon album doesn't get much of a mention but I'd say it's easily as good as the three that came before it and it's got a killer title track. Nice choice with 200 Stab Wounds.

New Fulci is dead good fun, still think Topical Sun tops it for me in discography but may change overtime who knows. Torture Demon cover looked really cool, hope you're well fella and enjoy the tunes.

I have heard of SSS but not listened to them. I don't know Revulsed, I think I might enjoy them if they're not too over the top. I saw a review for that Fulci album, I'm not really that bothered about it honestly. But cool you picked it up 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Was an honour and a privilege spending time with you again at Forbiddden last week, dude. Gutted I couldn't make it to the Terrorizer show as well, but there was just no chance! Tortured Demon were brilliant! As you mentioned, I can see how certain sections could be described as a bit Metalcore-ish, but for me, they were pretty much pure Thrash. I'll definitely be looking into attending the Manchester date on their forthcoming tour! SSS are also another fantastic band, and one I'd actually forgotten about. DEFINITELY not Nazis, though they certainly played with the imagery a bit! I still need to get hold of the new Fulci, as well as their other stuff too, tbf! 😂 You coming over for Slamfest to watch them? I'm with you on clear vinyl. My very least favourite of all vinyl colours. Vile! I absolutely LOVE that Fulci variant, though! 😂 Cheers! 🤘

Sounds like you had fun with the wife going to the shows! A bit of a drought for me lately, but have some fun stuff coming up. It seems like I just recently heard Fulci, and they have 5 (or 4) full lengths already? Time really does speed up. Good to hear more memories Sean. A few new bands to me hear. Toranaga and Holosade are both good bands, a bit underrated I think. Hope you manage to find a copy of Hell House, it's what makes collecting fun though.

Good to hear your memories of these albums Beast. All top quality so you were off to a good start and they are ones you can play every week and never get board of them. Sabbat are great, a bit under the radar. I first came across them on a thrash comp in the 00s and their song was a standout on the album, there were big names on it as well. I think we've all had a morning like the Tankard album, great artwork and one of their best I'd say.

Have all of Deaths albums, bought them when they came out. Didn’t know they were worth a lot nowadays.

Hi Sean!!! well an cool thoughts too.... i guess the term grail is a very personal thing as your collection and music taste, you can argue some "record" fall into that category. For me, i have a lot of stuff i really want to get in my collection, but i'm the kind of music fan wanting to spend an arm and a leg to get a piece of black wax (yeah i'm not a big fan of colored vinyl) or a cd. Anyhow so nice to see you added those records and for a fair price, that's even better. cheers and be well

I've always thought of a grail as being a very personal thing, but I guess you're right in the fact that there are some fairly ubiquitous ones, such as Symbolic, etc. For me, I got one of mine last year, in the reissue of Eternal Nightmare. I'm not even REMOTELY arsed that it's not an OG, tbh. Symbolic is one of mine, too, but that one I think would have to be an OG - at least until it FINALLY gets a reissue - as I love the album that much and I fooking DETEST white vinyl! 😂 As for Vomitheist, I'm still sat here without even so much as a CD copy! 🤣 I really don't understand why these bands/labels do such limited runs. Maybe it's fun to have one of your releases be considered a 'grail', and to see it go for stupid money, but you would have thought it would be nicer for them to have more money in their own back pocket!
