Congratulations! I hope you feel at home here in England, especially after the last several years of toxic politics. Here in Leeds we have a large amount of young people from all over the world, and especially from countries like Portugal and Spain. Hopefully we will soon have a sensible relationship with the rest of Europe now the Tories have been confined to the history books?

Thanks for the video. I am really searching for these Open University Quantum Mechanics books and the accompanying DVD's ... I was wondering if I can have them if you don't need them. I already have the Fluid Mechanics books!

Hi! Great video, and thanks a lot for sharing! 😊 I wanted to ask: Did you find the lessons useful, or was it mainly self-study? Also, how many hours were you studying on average per week, and has that changed over the years? Thanks again!

Being autistic, I've found working and doing my exams/EMAS at home has been the best thing for me. In an exam room, my anxiety and depression would be a lot worse than normal, as a disabled student I was granted an exemption from attending an exam centre. I was awarded my History degree two days ago. 😁

This is exactly what is happening with me right now Lucia. I did my 1st Degree in Accounting in Kenya and I am always very passionate about Aerospace engineering. I am also in my final year in my MBA in Germany currently. I am thinking of which country I should move to where there is flexibility to start pursuing my 2nd degree while working as an Accountant to take care of my daily needs as well. Any help with a piece of advice please. Thanks so much for your video Lucia.. It's now 6 years old and it's still very relevant.

I work in university recruitment, and yeah... It doesn't have peoples best interests at heart. I think young people should be encouraged to get out there and experience life before they get a degree.

Thank you so much for this video!

Thank you for your video. I had the opposite problem. I always knew I was a creative person and has always enjoyed Art. But in school I was also very good at science and thought that science would give me more stability in terms of careers. A year ago (as I was about to graduate), I had a wake up moment where I realised Art is my passion. I ended up getting a job as an Art technician in a school but I don’t like it. The aspects of Art being quite an unpredictable career income-wise made me think I needed a more business focused career and demotivated me from drawing as a hobby. But today I spent some time thinking about what I want to do, I think I want to do another degree again! I might change my mind again, just as I did throughout the year but I feel motivated again. I do have some question though. What is your current job? Is it full time or part time?

I want to get this degree for job purposes(and the flexibility it'll provide within the job market) but I'm worried employers won't see it as a "real" degree. Can you or anyone else give me their thoughts and experiences please Oh and I'm South African

@hmmmnope2455 Жыл бұрын
@@bonganisomba5939 Good morning, it is accredited. I saw on the website. My main fear is employers not taking it seriously Edit: I really just want a South African who got a degree from them to speak on it really

I'm heading in to MST125 next semester, and really enjoying this course and the whole experience of studying again. I'm doing it now in my early 50's after ~30 years of working as a BSc/PhD chemist, and it is a breath of fresh air for me. Congratulations on completing it ....I hope to say the same in 3-4 years time. I'll be planning a further degree (BSc or MSc who knows...) for retirement....a treat and a way to keep active post 65.

Hello Lucia, why did you choose "Mathematics and Physics" instead of just pursuing a "Physics" degree? While both degrees involve a significant amount of mathematics, the Physics degree tends to have a stronger emphasis on the physics aspect. I am asking because I am considering starting a Physics degree this year. I have already completed a bachelor's degree in Material Engineering at a "normal university," but it's not really my area of interest. Thank you 😁
