What version is this?? In my version there are two patrol boats coming after the alarm sounds and if you are late to take them out one of them takes cover behind the gate where the cannon can't reach to shoot at it.

I remember playing this when i was like 9 and just grouping my guys in a corner with pistols and just blasting every kraut that came to investigate. Not very tactical gameplay and thats probably why i never even got through the first mission 😂

I remember this so well. But recently i've installed it on steam and the first mission is totally different and so hard even on easy mode. It happens with the diver, green beret, sniper and the commando which works with explosive. You have to infiltrate a coast, destroy anti aerial cannons and the lighthouse and of course as soon the alarm blows there's german patrols coming out from barracks, everytime you kill them 4 others just come out the same barrack, authentic nightmare so far, can't wait for the other missions

It sounds like you might have been playing Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty. At least the first mission in that game matches your description about aerial defences and a lighthouse.

@spek-games yes maybe. But with the graphics i was convinced it was the game i've played back in the days, so i should look for "behind enemy lines" i'm in France and i can't recall the original name of the game, just that it was the first Commandos

The way I beat this one was completely idiotic and stupid: I used Spooky to push one of the sappers onto the railway track so he got ran over by the train without the other 3 seeing him :))) THEN, it gets better: I put Spooky in the truck and drove over all the remaining soldiers - NOT ONE fought back ! LOL ! :)) The thing is, I had no idea Spooky could even drive the truck in this one - I just climbed into it to see if it'd move at all and amazingly it did ! I thought it was a glitch :))

Yes, others have also reported that the harpoon range is smaller in the more recent versions of the game that are available on Steam. I don't know why it changed, though.

2024, and this game is still a legend! I was in high school when I first played it on my Pentium III computer, and now I am in my 30s! This game holds a lot of memories for many OG gamers, and if you still have or play this game, please say hi! 🙌

The submarine should already be armed. To fire the torpedo, hold Ctrl and left-click, if I remember correctly.

back to '98 when I first playde this game, I had literally to kill EVERY LIVING THING in the game to pass the firs mission, now I realize that it wasn'nt necessary. Only 27 years to got it
