Fond memories Niall of those lovely mountains! Cheers for the shout-out too, very nice of you! 🤗 I hope many geocache enthusiasts find your stash(es) - a great activity to get out to the hills. That midge attack on your face was shocking Niall 😮 Not sure I remember that photo from your video when you posted it but maybe you did. I agree the view from Mackoght to Errigal is very special and the climb to Beaghy is a slog for sure but again such a great mountain with modest height 😇

Niall, I remember 2007 well. Drove all the way from Carryduff for the Geocaching event on the Saturday Morning. Still haven’t managed to Climb Erigal, it’s on my bucket list to do. I’m fitter and stronger than back then, next year… 2027 reunion of Geocaching Ireland. Really enjoyed those days and the reviewer Croaghans efforts to keep us all on the straight and narrow in Geocaching terms 😜

Niall, I think I would prefer hands down the 26C weather in Portugal☀even if it did feel like hard work at times😊A good old walk on the Tom Crean in those weather conditions🌨 and that wind was really blowing coming down off Brandon. Loved those Cork Oaks, the storks gliding effortlessly and the old cobbled streets in the town. Ireland could certainly show Portugal something about proper rain🌨😊

Left it off on purpose as prices change slightly all the time. I'm assuming they're a Chinese company so they're base price will be based on $USD and the €EUR or £STG price will fluctuate based on exchange rates. If you follow the link in the description it will show you the up to date price, today it is €42.95 so €36.50 with the 15% discount code. Pretty reasonable for the spec and quality. They also have cheaper and more expensive options.

Hi Niall. Nice drone footage around Kerry and Portugal. Pity the weather turned bad for the challenge walk, especially after the long trek you made to take part . Still your trip to Portugal made up for it. Nice to get into a pair of shorts and T shirt for a hike instead of a raincoat. That GR13 route sounds like a nice prospect. One for the future maybe ?? Niall, that is definitely a day to summit Slieve League with those stunning views☀👍 Malinbeg has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland - went there a few years ago (after a wild camp at Glenlough coincidently) and the sand was nearly too hot to walk on and there were dolphins jumping out in the bay which was magical. Always stunning to see the coast around Port, either in person or through the eyes of others, and I cannot think of anywhere more spectacular than Glenlough Bay👍 A perfect bivy spot to watch that million dollar view of the sun lowering over the Atlantic Ocean☀ Bivy is the way to go if the weather works with you⭐⭐ to get that more immersive experience. Not that often I get a really good nights sleep when out wild camping💤 A great place to visit more than once to explore all it has to offer.

Good point. I was sent this as a review product from Night Cat and it was the only model they had at the time. It was upgraded and they added a few new items to the range last year. Unfortunately this is the only one that I have tried and can't compare to the lay flat version. Thanks for watching though, hope you enjoyed it 🙂

I did, lovely spot. If you can, get a look at the LayFlat....I am a hammock novice, not liking the banana principle! but have been quite impressed with it, you do keep flat and can side sleep. Again you can bivvi with it too....the vlogger "DIVUM" did a short film with the both of us using them in the wet and cold. They worked very well.

@nialloutdoors5 ай бұрын
@@kieranstafford9718 it's not but it follows the coast, keep the water on your right and you can't go wrong 🤣 Once you get to the tower the route back is marked and follows a track. On the way out from Port you follow the track and turn off to follow the coast. It's not signed but if you are watching for it you will see the tracks of others and a faint quad track. From memory there was a post at the corner and a small stone sitting on top. Of course the stone isn't permanently attached so don't depend on this 😉
