NATIONAL HOUSING TRUST is HUGE FACTOR. Unlike the US, they are not quick to rush in with foreclosure procedings like in the US. Also, in economic downturns, maybe people are more resourceful in renting out parts of their house in order to hold on to it, than ppl did in the recession/Housing Crisis.

This is not good for regular people they won’t be able to afford. I saw another video about the island stating that some Jamaicans are being hired to help build on some projects but are not making fair money and are forced to work on the weekend for free and if they don’t show up on weekends they get Fired. This is not a way to do any type of business. Shame on any company that operates this way….

Listening to the senior who served in the United States Army and now a recipient of a specialized insurance that covers almost all his healthcare free. This man is asking if the Jamaican government can take the cost from the US government to the burden ofthe Jamaican people. This man lick him head!😮

@TravelsoFun The goodly doctor was speaking of the government hospitals. He mentioned that the patient would have to cover screws for crash patients because it's not yet covered by rhe government. However, the surgery is free of cost, some medications are free, etc. This is a process, whereby the goal is to finance healthcare free of cost. Its not there fully, but golly, it will get there (hopefully). The United States is the only first world country that doesn't have an universal healthcare. There are so many poor Americans are suffering, especially places in rhe South that don't have insurance.😢❤

Just catching up as my sister & I have just returned from Travelllers Hotel. We have to travel up the worse road ever to Cairn Curran been doing it since 1975 , now back in the Uk I am contacting Ministry of Transport & Works, the local MP,National Works Agency in response to divine comedy 0. It’s outrageous they cannot see the economic benefits of having a decent road. No taxi would ever go up there it has to be family or locals. p.s we stayed at Travellers it was fab🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💋

Good evening Thorp; Blessings Bro, as I have been a subscriber since the beginning of the year. I would like to get involved with the education system in Jamaica. I have tried for over a year and no-one responds. I have some great ideas for the country that would save/replenish funds, strengthen the education process, while creating lifelong learners. Jamaica must pay attention to the youth if they desire to have a better and progressive country. Be Blessed and Keep Up the Great Work!

This whole discussion is shocking 😮 😢! Not having the necessary basic equipment in a hospital to adequately treat a motor vehicle crash victim’s injuries!!!?? This causes people to die needlessly. Such deaths are highly preventable. Why call it a hospital when it’s not equipped to provide basic emergency services. That’s not a hospital. That’s a glorified clinic. Shameful 🤦🏽♀️!!! For reasons like this I will not be moving back home. I will stay in the USA, despite being tired of the racism here. I still have a better chance of surviving a stroke, heart attack or motor vehicle accident here in the USA. Been here 40 years now, since I was a teenager.
@paulawhite56995 күн бұрын
This is stratified by income; this is not the case for all persons. Also, again by income many people have healthcare plans. And some hospitals are more sophisticated than others. Just like the States. 🤷🏾♀️

What if you live out your life and never have any of those. You will regret staying.. American health care is a sick care system. If you do have any.of those they will keep you alive in a depelative state because it's a profit business.

@@paulawhite5699 even if you are poor in the US, an ambulance will come and get you to a hospital and save your life. The ambulance in Jamaica wants the money up front and it's not more than a limo drive complete with a tie wearing driver. Japan donated ambulances for public use, but they were stuck in customs while everyone argued over who ( private) would own them. They aren't even staffed by EMT certified employees. It's a terrible joke.

Imagine being in an auto accident and the hospital doesn't have an MRI machine. Youd have to pay for a private drive to a private clinic, while you are in a hospital bed, and then back to the hospital. This is criminally inadequate.
@eileenwatt82835 күн бұрын
This not true. When the hospital tells you that they are suppose to transport you in an ambulance to the MRI facility and the government pays. If they don't transport you then you have to pay..Jamaica has free health care but the public don't know how what they are entitled to. The facilities are also owned by doctors and they will send you there and charge you and also bill the government. I know this because my family there utilized the health care system effectively. They know how the system works. Jamaicans have to learn their health care system .
@waitaminute20154 күн бұрын
@@eileenwatt8283 my grandmother was in St Ann's Bay last year. There was no ambulance, and it was up to us to transport her for an MRI. I suspected Drs owned the clinic they were sending us, and that should be illegal, as it's a conflict of interest. The oxygen she was supposed to be hooked up to was empty. She would have been better off at home. They did nothing except take up a bed. Nurses sit like statues in there with zero communication to patients or family. It's something from a horror film.

I grew up on sea moss. It was a natural and normal way in my family of fishermen to consume. It must be fishy and smell like the ocean. After washing and soaking, most of that smell will go. I observed some sea moss on the market are so thick and not like the ones I used to in 🇯🇲 with more natural looking. I'm happy to hear this straight out of Jamaica.

That is very hard and difficult for us. The same process we have to go through in your country. You should go through the same process in our country, why should our country make it easy for you to come to Jamaica? when your country make it so hard for us to come to yours?
