I don't travel much, but I had the honor to come here around the year 2014. The band and the music were fantastic!

Sandra didn't mention the time in the summer when she was helping out founder Barbara Reid collect the tips before she and Allen were given control by Borenstein in the September

I am not decrying this rendition but, in my view, I have heard better. However, to each his own.

This so-called documentary totally ignores the fact that Preservation Hall was initially established by Babara Reid and Ken Mills months before they were kicked out and replaced by the Jaffes by Borenstein because they were not running it as a commercial venture. I merely wish to point out the truth and not in anyway bellitle the efforts of the Jaffes

When Percy died 1995 that was the end of 'Preservation' I was there late 1995 and they were playing mainstream jazz..[ notes not tunes ]..RUBBISH . I will never go back../..iN 1992 I was lucky enough to see Jeanette Savant [ Papa Celestin ] playing piano there ..I managed to chat with this lovely lady during a break.

I’m a pro jazz drummer - ready to learn more about the Motherland of Jazz-America’s GREATEST contribution to the world. I was blessed to see some of these men playing in Brooklyn in the early 1970s I was a child, it affected me on a very profound level. -GREG BURROWS
