What now? I'm all out of video's to watch? 🤔I think I'll leave the fletching to the shop...

Thinking about buying a bow. Try out tomorrow at the local acher range to see what I prefer (recurve, compound, pull weight etc.) Don't know anything about archery except from what I saw in your video's. About this episode I have a question: is the arrow rest at the oplympic bow on the other side? You seem to aim at the other side too, or is this camera-related? Or is this simply a left handed bow? Thanks, Filip.
@ArcheryHouse5 күн бұрын
Awesome! Archery Shops are the best place to start! In this video, the Olympic Bow is left-handed and the barebow is right-handed. I probably should have used the same bow for each example! LOL

Good afternoon I'm glad I found your channel I love your way of teaching I have a question if you don't mind as a young man I shot a compound bow many years ago I would like to learn the bare bow now for the problem my body is extremely weak let's just say due to life a bad accident as a young man I was am lefthand left eye dominant but l shoot right handed I can't close my left eye to use my right due to the accident so I'm good on my left so can you give me so pointers I'm basically starting over I noticed you say you shot both sides love the way you teach do you have a way to connect you for lessons thanks for sharing your work time and experience with us

I bought half dozen gold tip warriors from Lancaster archery and had them cut them to length and install the components which I believe were just the knocks and inserts not the feathers, I believe the feathers were on from the factory. Anyway not a single arrow is aligned right where after knocking the arrow the odd color feather is sticking out how it should…..not a clue why.
@ArcheryHouse5 күн бұрын
They are most likely set-up for compound. Are they facing upward instead of out? If so, that's why...compound bows will typically require fletchings face up. Are the nocks glued in or can you twist them? If they are glued-in and you have a local range - you can swap out the nocks and re-align them.
@greeneyesfromohio41035 күн бұрын
@ - Well when I shoot the arrows the odd color is facing down towards the ground on my recurve. I ordered the arrows the same time I ordered my 45# Bear Grizzly recurve so you would think they would have enough sense to be like ok this is for a trad bow. Their actual feathers too, not vanes…..as far as the knocks being glued or screw in I’m not sure haven’t checked. That being said…..I want to add 100grain brass inserts and make my arrow more a hunting weight so I can practice with an arrow the same weight I’m going to hunt with but they already have the standard gold tip Aculite 11 grain inserts that are glued in……is their anyway to remove them and glue in the 100grain inserts or am I going to have to buy all new arrows? I’m a beginner so when I ordered all this stuff I was kinda clueless lol.

I want a new bow. But I want the best I could buy, something that I won't outgrow in skill level. I want a bow that I can actually, with practice, hit dimes at 20 yards. What would you recommend.

@ArcheryHouse5 күн бұрын
It's going to be different for everyone. It's going to depend on your anchor position, bow weight/draw, etc. As long as you have a consistent anchor position, practice several rounds to see where you need to aim at your desired distances.

I've never even tried stringing/unstringing without a bow stringer, there seems more to go wrong for both you and your equipment doing it by hand, even if it's just a small chance
@ArcheryHouse5 күн бұрын
It's always best to string with a stringer - especially as a beginner! I just know that some people forget one or don't have one - and I have seen some very unsafe/wild ways to string the bow. I wanted to offer a "better" option than some of the ways I have seen! :)

hi very helpful im a newbie and have a similar bow and arrows with rubber flights i bought the same arrow rests but havent shot it yet my concern is that the rubber flights wont make it through the rest without throwing the shot off or taking the bottom one off completely so i fitted a whisper biscuit would i be better trying the arrow rest ?

Excellent information. Yup cleaning of the vane base and shaft is extremely important unless otherwise specified like AAE vanes. For the points JB weld will fix the problem of them coming loose and nail polish on the threads of the points will keep them from working loose too. Great video.

Titus is a beautiful dog 🐕, I was in an after school camp in 1975 and archery was taught to boys and girls. The instructor kept correcting me even though I was hitting the target 🎯 and 🎈🎈. One of the things was that I needed to grab the nock and pinch it before releasing arrow, also to not allow my hand to touch my cheek. The embarrassment I felt at 14 yrs old in front of my crush, I didn't want to attend after school archery anymore , 49 years later my granddaughter wants to shoot arrows oh she is going to be 9 on 05NOV24 so I want to buy her an archery set and wish her the best 🙏🏼

I have a question about breasts. My “girls” are pretty big and when I in a straight T position, strain is touching (digging in) the breast. Any suggestions?
@ArcheryHouse27 күн бұрын
I would have to see your form to know exactly how to fix it! Is the string coming past the chest or does it stay in front of your body?
@NatalieMinerLAcPaloAltoАй бұрын
Both tips are really helpful: double anchor definitely increased my grouping and follow through put the arrows to the target at the angle closer to 90 instead of some “strange angles” . Thank you so much for your kindness! 👏👏👏🙏
